Its awesome seeing you enjoy the country areas out here man. We live here so sometimes we can forget how green and rich the landscapes are. Glad you guys had a safe trip
11:00 Texas used to have a lot of that. The sleepy towns near highway/freeway would annex sections of it and then drop the speed limit down to 45 from 75-85 out of nowhere and then ambush people to build revenue for the town. I got popped by one of those around 2am once which was the same as you mentioned, cop claimed I was doing 82 when I was doing the speed limit. You can't try to fight it unless you live near there since it would be absurd to spend the money to get there to do so.
Exactly what happened to me, I was told not to pay mine as it wouldn’t follow me but then they suspended my license (without giving notification of it) and then I later found out about the state pact with about 13 states I think where tickets are shared between them and AZ/OK are apart of that pact 🥲
@@ChrisSadowski Yep. Texas is a part of the same. They certainly made use of that if they weren't the cause for it. Anyone would easily avoid it otherwise since they'll most likely never go through there more than a couple times a year at most. Thankfully Texas put an end to their ability to annex freeway if not also highway since they constantly were abusing it.
My wife wants to make a weekend of it next year. She wants to do the skyway next year. Would love to get a group together to ride next year glad you guys had a safe trip and I’m loving seeing all the coverage from the dragon
You guys are totally in the right to razz us for bailing, I'll DEFINITELY be there next year. School fucked me good this year, next year gonna be such a fantastic trip though.
We did the drive there in 3 days since we had time to kill since our air bnb check in wasn’t till Friday evening, we drove a comfortable 550-700 miles a day and had some time for a few stops. On the drive back we did 800 miles the first day and then 1000ish the second day cause we just wanted to get home

Awesome video. I didn’t get a chance to enjoy the mountains like y’all did maybe next year it was great meeting you at the meet and talking for a min.
Yeah man you too! Next year you gotta go explore a bit, it’s way too much fun
Awesome to watch this. I think the Porsches included AdamLZ, as he was out there the same weekend we were.
I just watched his video and I am 90% sure he was the group of porches ahead of me and my buddy on cherohala skyway on Friday.
Super cool trek Chris and Alex!! Same route I took out there in August. Glad you're feeling better and looking forward to the next episode.
You gotta make time for it next year and come with us!

Yeah I am hoping to take my car again next year! It would be awesome to have a group drive on the skyway to get lunch in tellico again
Great video! Wouldn't be a road trip without something happening, too bad it had to be food poisoning. Looking forward to seeing the next video
Mike and I will join you next year!
That’s what everyone said 🥱🤣
Well now we know dates for next year to actually plan instead of a couple weeks notice! @@ChrisSadowski

I’m planning to drive out from California next year! How many miles a day would you say would be ideal to travel?
