Crazy! An Italian ice cart has been on my vision board for 10 years. It’s too easy to start for me to be so afraid. I appreciate your videos and the comments so much!
Italian (Water) Ice is probably the easiest business to get into next to Shaved Ice. I had an Italian Ice business and people walking around the event w/my clear cups attracted more business as people would ask "Where did you get that from?" Since the only ingredients in II are sugar, flavoring and water, the HD isn't on your back, set up is easy w/as little as a tent, no commissary needed and inexpensive to start. The hardest flavor to scoop was Watermelon which felt like I was scooping hard ice cream. I had that flavor at the busiest event I did and of course everyone seemed to want it. I'm in the southeast but luckily I had a supplier in my city. I then switched to a different supplier which was only an hour away but was worth the drive. Keep up the great content!
these videos are great I’m here in nyc Staten Island and I have the perfect spot to set up I’ll be doing the cost effective way in the beginning … may have to drive to Philly they have a spot called Andy’s here so I’ll weigh my options but leaning towards that Philly drive
I have watched several of your videos saying you can start this for a few hundred dollars but you have never said HOW you make the Italian ice. How are you actually making it without the expensive machines?
First step is to contact your local health department they will help you with what items you need to start. Also you need to register with your secretary of state and sales tax license. Let us know if you need more help
Hey that a nice video, I currently am an ice cream man with my own truck and two tricycle carts and I’ve been thinking about switching to Italian ice, I had a few questions I’d love to ask you if you’re available?
We would recommend buying it form a wholesale account first until you get good sales. The best way is to go with a batch freezer carpigiani or techno gel. They are very expensive new 25k+. Used are 6k-15k. You can always look at a machine like this www.vevor.com/soft-serve-ice-cream-machines-c_10720/vevor-countertop-soft-serve-ice-cream-maker-22-30l-h-2350w-frozen-yogurt-machine-p_010848777844?lang=en¤cy=usd?shortkey=20231026fs6P
While I love your videos on Italian ice, you never stray from suppliers for product. Which I just don't understand. It's great at first. Just wondering why more people aren't saving to buy a used machine and up their game. Making a quality product for 2-5 cents an ounce. Much higher profit.
