To anyone reading this who's hurting from losing their best friend keep your head up, I know that pain, it hurts so damn much , it'll make you numb, but I promise no matter how hard it is you'll get through it with or without them, life keeps moving, all you need is yourself.

The problem is that losing you‘re best friend is more painfull than losing a crush... You‘ll find someone else to love but finding someone to call a truly friend is way harder.
I don't understand how can some people let you down when you've always been there for them.

i know you commented this 6 months ago but this is exactly what my bestfriend did to me, she was toxic and treated me horribly but i was always there for her even though shes never been there for me. i went through some shit this year and the one time i tried to lean on her for support she cut me off because "i was exhausting her" and she had "other more important" stuff to deal with. we were friends for 13 years :/

Loosing a friend hurts worse then a break up. Because when your with someone, no matter how much you love them, you know that most likely you'll breakup. But when you have a best friend (expecially when you grew up together) you think you'll always be best friends. You think it will last a lifetime. After five years or so, i can honestly say: it gets better. You will meet more honest, true and loyal people than you ever imagined. The ones that inspire you and the best feeling? When you inspire them. You'll never take friendship for granted. Sure it hurts. And boy, those abandonment issues. But its also a lesson.

@@jxx5564 you will get through this, believe me! The first year i mourned as well. It was hard, not telling them things and knowing, that they didnt miss me at all. But time takes the emotion out of it, i promise. Now when i see them its like a ghost. I cant recognize one thing about them. They are unfamiliar to me and i know i healed. You will too! Start in the New year knowing that you are enough! If she didnt love you how you are, she didnt deserve you. I think the reason losing a friendship hurts more than a partner is that there is always something in you that worries whether a relationship will last through everything while a friendship you hope always will last and will be there to help you pick up the pieces instead of being the reason you're in pieces.

I was always there for her. After a time she started to act really strange and become very toxic. She started to drink alcohol and smoking. She was so jealous when I hung out with others. She told me to stop being friends with others. I actually stopped talking to them. I cried almost every day and cut myself. But then I met a girl, who is now my best friend. She changed my life. She made me tell my 'best friend' to end our friendship. I am really thankfull this girl came in my life. In my experience losing a friend is the worst feeling ever and the pain of that loss never stops until you make it stop one way or another in my case I just turned it all off better to feel nothing than feeling the pain because everybody gets betrayed in the end.

A true friend isn't afraid to tell you the truth even it it may hurt BC friends try to say it in a easy way possible and will support you all the way. But sometimes you have to accept that not everyone is your friend and will lie to your face, maybe yourself is the reason why. I think I feel safe knowing that no one knows who is behind the screen. When I was eleven years old I started being friends with a group of girls because we had the same musical tastes. Something happened and I was wrong (they were offended by my attitudes) and although I apologized more than once they walked away, mocked me and bullied me (they never beat me, but they insulted me and spoke ill of me). It took me a long time to find people to be friends with because of what happened I find it very difficult to trust people, and now (almost four years after what happened) I'm afraid they'll get angry at me or i'll become boring for them. Sometimes (like now) I cry and I don't tell anyone because I don't want them to think I'm a queen drama and I want to get attention.
This hurts so much cause in primary I had a bestie and I was so protective over her because I had no other friends and I thought I was her bestie and she really liked me until a few days ago she told me she never liked me and used me to get more friends. Me and my best friend since Kindergarten recently broke things off because she started hanging our with the wrong crowd and ended up ditching me so I decided to end things and now I see her happy with a bunch of friends while I got no one.
Losing best friends or really close friends hurts so bad, that pain is horrible, i think that is worst than breaking up with someone. The best friend/close friend was always that person who was there for you and that you were there for her/him/it, it was the person you told a lot of things, the person you told all the stuff that was happening with you and that you were keeping the pain inside. And when u lose this person you feel like your world is falling apart, that you’ve no one left, that no one loves you anymore, that you’re completely alone and have no one to share things, to gossip, to cry, to laugh. The worst part is when you don’t have any idea why that person pushed you away, like when at a night you guys were gossiping and having a PJ party and at the morning he/she/it don’t remember that you exist. I’ve lost a lot of people already, it hurts, and a lot! But there’s no medicine that can do this pain go away, the only 2 thing that can make it better are the time and the memories. Those are the most powerful medicines in the whole world, they’re free and really makes you feel better. When you lose someone breathe, be patient and try to remember all the good moments you’ve together and laugh about it, try to remember the much you loved, and still love, that person. Think that if he/she/it let you go, is for the best, and you need to do that too, for hers/hims/its best and happiness. I’m sure that that person will never forget about you and that he/she/it will always remember the best moments that he/she/it had with you, and you will do that too! Don’t think that losing a important person as a bad thing, think that if he/she/it is gone from the real world, or, just out of your life be sure that it was for the best! You will always find someone new, that someone will never be that person but, that someone will be another special and important person for you, that will brung more special moments and memories! And that person will find someone too, the new person will never replace you but, just as you did, he/she/it needs to keep living, and living happy, with all the memories of the best friend he/she/it ever had!

See this is the reason why you can’t tell pretty boys that you like them. They won't take you seriously and they think you're just like the rest so you have to keep it a secret. There are so many reasons why you shouldn't fall for someone who's your close friend, but sometimes you just do because you can't help but fall for the good person they are. And it sucks when they never know you even liked them because telling them could lead to so many problems like them thinking you don't actually care about them.

edit: Me and my ex best friend used to be friends since middle school and we always hang out in lunch, talk about our favorite anime and shows, laughing at stupid jokes. But when we hit high school together, that’s when our friendship began to fade away, she started to do drugs, hang out with the wrong crowd, ignoring me, insulted me, fat shaming me, saying hurtful things, and thing went worst when she even forced me to do drugs and other bad things with me and whenever I say “no” to her or that I’m not doing these drugs, she would yelled at me and even start to physically abuse me until I loose so many blood and broken bones. I was horrified but I was hurt at the same time to know that my own best friend…. is no longer the same person . I always thought that it’s was my fault for being a bad friend or that she was mad at me for not spending time with her or I’m the reason for our friendship to be broken, but that’s when I realized that it better for me to let go of her and ended what we had. It's too hard when your bff broke heart.I really had depression.Now she and me are like strangers but when she smile my heart like stabbed because I remeber how I used to smile like that with her.It's another kind of feeling that can't be expressed with words
