    I'm guessing Meteor hammer or the big daddy Guan Dao. Yes. I'm so glad you got the ribbon thing correct. Its also there to stop the tip on time when the user gets interrupted and stops movement so the user is safe.

    The most flexible weapon I know how to use is the nunchaku. I'd love to learn the chain whip though, I feel like it'd be cool to incorporate it into the martial arts styles I already know. :)

    You crack me up! :) Trust me very few people manage to make me smile like you do with your comments. Somehow, I can really picture knocking oneself out sold with one wrong move with one of those, maybe not as bad as the meteor hammer but still ... this is the kind of weapon with which your gonna hurt yourself before you even come close to hurt someone else lol

    wow Wes you're very good with that chain whip. I'm learning how to do a chain whip too and I'm starting to get better at it too, but I see you're more advanced than I am.

      @LifewithWesandAlison  9 лет назад +1

      +Chrisayhai I have a love/hate relationship with it personally, I think I covered your question at the very end of my video which no one probably watches lol. I am torn between two weapons.

    • @OsaruKuri
      @OsaruKuri 9 лет назад

      Oh damn I didn't even notice!
      I was busy replaying your combos xD
      But I saw it now.
      I think since you did Chain Whip just now, "The Big Daddy" of the Chain Whip definitely should come next.
      By the way, a little off topic since you covered it last week; but I just picked up a Three-Section Staff today!
      I got two questions for you if you don't mind:
      1. What are some good exercises to do to get used to wielding it?
      2. Will you ever do tutorials for weapons, including forms and such, because that would be insane!!
      Thanks in advance, and keep these videos coming.
      I'm glad I subscribed this early!

    • @LifewithWesandAlison
      @LifewithWesandAlison  9 лет назад +1

      +Chrisayhai Its all good lol. I will be doing tutorials in the near future, many people have been asking for them. I am just going to work my way through some weapons first because it is leading up to a personal project I have been wanting to do for a while. In my 3 section staff video the basic at 2:23 is nice because you only have to focus on one end, but all of the ones that I did are usually show cased in most 3 section staff forms. Having a good base with staff will be helpful. They also have padded 3 section staffs which I wish I had started with :)

      Ah nice!
      That sounds good!
      I've trained in Broadsword, Nunchucks, and (Not Wushu) Kali, but my school moved a while back,
      So unfortunately, I have to self-train.
      But apparently not for long! Definitely excited to learn from you.
      Ah and I took a look at it 2:23, and I'll be sure to practise that!
      Thanks a lot!

      the links were also used to block attacks and as a form of bludgeoning...the chain whip is actually strong enough to crack a skull if hit hard enough. and i don't mean with the wushu ones. those are actually much lighter. traditional chain whips were heavy and didn't make the buzzing sound. they were a bit slower but not much and an extremely dangerous weapon.
