the fakeout end after the "shed weakness" bit really got me
That was funny, but showing the AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhn-Crop Champion card hit me even better.
Graham really lost it during this video, and i’m totally here for it
Absolutely
‘Twas great
Has Graham ever had it?
I am sadly not the kids. Though I am entertained by Graham's accelerating spiral into madness and thank him for his sacrifice.
Love to see another episode of "Watching Graham's Descent into Madness"
Graham cracks, and also opens a pack of Magic.
As the Spokesman himself would say, "From monuments to Man's Folly and SHEDS."
Really a shockingly relevant quote from him, especially since nothing he says should ever be expected to be relevant
An art-is-anally crafted monument of course
One day Graham will crack a pack of playing cards, and that'll be the actual finale.
"Look I'm trying. Not as hard as I could be but..." omg - MOOD
Gram keeping it 💯
For what it's worth, the "shed weakenss" pun made me laugh.
I like how this series has evolved into Graham just having fun with sounds and words.
Graham drifted into a mild insanity in this video. That certainly happened
Honestly, Jokes like the "Shed weakness" one are one of the reasons i do subscribe! Thanks for giving me a good laugh at this thursday night!
Took me longer than it should have to get but boy did I smile.
The total price of the pack is off by $.77
It looks like only the last three cards were added up to get the shown total.
Ah Amonkhet, the series where I went into a draft and my pack I started with gave me the Invocation Daze and a Hazoret. I let out an audible gasp at the table and people looked at me in confused. My cousin was in the same draft next to me, and looked at me when I passed him the stack with only a Hazoret in it.
as per graham's ask i actually did start watching lrr when i was a kid, like ~4 years ago
I have a weakness for jokes like shed weakness. Or maybe it's just Graham's delivery. Whatever, i laughed. Deal with it internet.
I, too, appreciate sheds.
"Shed weakness" thank you Graham
*Sounding off*
37, but I feel like a kid most days. Also I drive a semi truck for a living so I'm basically living my childhood dream. Fantastic use of my college education, but here we are!
"cartouche.... of which there are five"
I heard that Eddie Izzard inflection in there.
Last week: this is Graham's brain
This week: this is Graham's brain on Desert Bus
Don't do Desert Bus, kids
Actually, do Desert Bus. It's great and starts this weekend
"Brick Counters" sounds like the name of a sports newscaster from a midbudget 90s sitcom
Horror of the broken lands is also the wincon in a pauper deck. Tortured Existence is gross once it gets going
"Of which there are FIVE"
Was that an eddie izzard reference?
Reading the card explains the card. Talking to the card explains the madness. (I bought packs of AFR to imagine the D&D campaigns I wish I was in so, yeah)
here i are again on my own
running down the only joke i ever known
Graham is just travelling down the only road he's ever known, and this is what Desert Bus does to you.
not unsubscribing for the shed joke, it was great.
I think I'm technically "the kids" for certain definitions.
Was laughing pretty hard through this. Thanks
Kids, unite and show of our power against those - who happens to be an adult..
I remember Amonkhet as a high point in recent Magic's story. Design-wise, not so fondly.
It also had the most abysmal quality control I've ever seen for a printed product to come out of WOTC. I drafted multiple boxes with friends, and every single pack we ripped had smeared ink, weird color grading, print artifacts and aberrations, or miscuts/misprints.
And all of this is to say nothing of the curling. My goodness, I had a draft deck that I could barely sleeve. Had this been an a sanctioned event, I wouldn't have been able to register some of these decks without getting flagged for marking my cards.
I dunno i liked the limited format a lot
One of the reasons they've decided that -1/-1 counters make for bad environments, I think (along with the fact that they don't like +1 and -1 counters to co-exist, and +1s have become a core part of how they balance a lot of cards in some colors)
I honestly thought it was one of the single worst moments in an already pretty bad story. Although I suppose that was more Hour's fault.
@@mikejunt And then Crimson Vow goes and gives us a Slug Horror that gives virtual 1-/-1 counters on every creature you don't have on EACH end step.
You okay there, Graham? Maybe don't film so many of these in a row. If you Exert yourself that much, you're gonna need to stay tapped a little while longer.
A real emotional journey in this one.
I’m willing to bet that Graham did a lot of crack a packs in one day and this was near the end and is starting to lose sanity.
I am the kids! 🦖
I subscribed at the start of this vid... then unsubscribed around the 3:30 mark... am I doing this right?
Don't worry, I liked for the awful shed weakness pun
I swear one of these episodes, Graham is going to go full on breakdown.
There may be crying.
My decision to buy sheds is my personal choice. Turn that shed weakness into shed strength.
The monuments are great in commander decks focused on a lot of creatures that happen to share a color, even if the deck itself is more than that one color (Spider Tribal, maybe?). The cost reduction is what makes them wild, whatever other text they have is just a bonus at that point.
Oketra's Monument and Bontu's Monument are especially fantastic in Orzhov creature decks. It's not uncommon to get a little choked on mana in that color identity and those discounting your creatures and giving you upside helps a ton. Nothing says 'I'm about to run away with this game if I am not stopped immediately' like casting Elenda for 2 mana and having both of those triggers hanging around.
I, for one, always appreciate a Jurassic Park reference, as I grew up on that shit.
Cards that are mediocre, but G likes them? How about a "Graham-Slam"
3:24 Thank you for coming to my Shed Talk
are these purposely filmed when Graham hasn't slept for 3 days cause it sure seems like it
I loved the shed weakness joke. I'd subscribe again, but i can't
I understand that Amonkhet is a deeply medium/unexciting set, but it holds a special place in my heart. One, because I loved Ancient Egypt as a kid; two, because it's the set that brought me back to Magic; and three, because that's my first contact with Friday Nights and LRR by extension!
Same here friend, almost exactly. My childhood love of ancient Egypt is what enticed me back in to Magic when this set came out and I haven't looked back since. Might not be for everyone, but it's wonderful for people like us.
Graham's mind slowly unravelling is the best content. Bring this to other things than magic. Heck, I'd watch G Money rant about paint drying in this format.
7:26
In the words of Friday Night's Graham, that's called "Goldbluming"
Came here to say this too
I'm still one of the kids even though I started playing when Invasion came out right?
Is Graham slowing losing it, or is it a bit to pad out the runtime of the video? I honestly don't know.
Someone should make a pack of altered cards that are very close to real magic cards but slightly wrong so it does the Berenstain Bears thing to Graham, but then James tells him they're all fake.
Wait no that's gaslighting, nvm
I really love the episodes where G loses it like this
Talking to the cards alone is fine. It's when they start responding that there are issues :P
people who dislike this video obviously have a weakness for shed jokes
It feels like G hit peak bus before the run even started this year...
You should do a chaos draft with all those pack, it could be fun.
They actually have done some chaos drafts from packs the've gotten!
Im 19, do i count as one of the kids? I watch this channel
Amonkhet rules and may be my #1 pick for worlds I’d like to see again. And HEY! Anyone from WotC! If you’re reading this, the -1/-1 counters are a huge part of what made it great for me! Stop being down on -1/-1 counters!
Graham am I still the kids if im older than you?
Ah, Amonkhet. I spent like 5 or 6 weeks at local FNMs drafting nothing but Red/White aggro and going 3-0 or 2-1. It kept working so I kept doing it.
Wait, the -1/-1 counters deck wasn't in Amonkhet remastered? Kuz I definitely drafted that deck twice of the 2 times I drafted that set on arena xD
I think he meant he never had the fortune to make it playable
Is this series just a vlog of Graham's very slow decline into Magic induced Madness? I need to know because I'd like to discard my worries.
Audio sounds a like skritchy on this one. Love the video, just a note
Hello it is I the kids
The total amount of money... doesn't seem to match the individual amounts. Either that, or I'm joining Graham in the slow descent into madness.
Ah yes the classic 2nd turn fatal push into bone picker.
"Unless a creature died this turn"
So its 3 less now because you died out there? Lol
"I dont have a beef with Bone Picker"
rolling the corpse off stage.
3:09 Did you know that Graham is a dad?
Wow that 'Shed Weakness' joke took me waaaaaay to long... Thx G for that one.^^
Thanks for reminding me that I am an adult and thus not "The Kids" and have not been for some time.
Why hasn't Exert made a comeback? I thought it brought in some interesting combat decisions. Not sure the flavor of it makes it exclusive to Amonket so why not bring it to other planes?
I still don't know why we don't use exert for Frost Lynx and such.
@@brendaneichler5244 Because exert is a keyword action you may take on one of your creatures and it is exclusively used in costs, either as additional cost for attacking or for activated abilities. And it also has flavor implications that are very different from the "freezing" of opponent creatures.
The kids are watching
As one of the 3 or so people who absolutely LOVE Amonkhet, I had a lot of fun pausing after each name and seeing if I could remember what the card was. Thanks Graham.
Here is hoping that in some future set that wizards introduces the Oracle creature type so that Naga Oracle can be errataed and reach his full potential.
Shed Weakness is totally a Crapshot in the making.
Amonkhet was such a great block. I want a return there so bad
Come on Graham, let's not bicker about bone picker
I am not in fact, the kids. But I am engaging with this content.
I loved the -1/-1 counters deck. I won my one and only pre-release with a Hapatra deck. My main Standard deck for AMK and HOU was RB -1/-1 counters plus insect tokens. It was basically a wither deck, I loved it.
Does anyone else feel like they should have been mummies?
I really liked the -1/-1 counter deck too. It was a neat spin on them.
sooo amonkhet set cube for LRRMTG?
the goldbluming has become serious now
I was born in '92, so I'm gonna say no, the 'kids' are not watching.
Amonkhet is and always will be my favorite set.
"Djeru" appears to be pronounced "jer-oo"
Was he wearing a Rez t-shirt?
I might actually watch an hour+ video of Graham describing/explaining things (anything really) where he slowly becomes more tired and unhinged as the video progresses. Honestly, I watch these for the brisk transitions and the awkward non-sequiturs that immediately precede them.
Also: nice shirt.
I am not surprised G couln't make -1/-1 work in AKH remastered, since a bunch of the best cards for that deck didn't get added until Hour of Devastation... hah, Obelisk Spider
I built a deck for fnm when ammonket came out that centered around Happatra, I think I only won two games, but still had fun building and playing it.
Legitimately laughed so hard over "shed weakness"... and laughing hurts 'cos I've got COVID, but I don't care, that's awesome
I'M the KID also I'M 43 lololololololol
Just implode the "ck" plosive on "brick," replacing it with a glottal stop, and release the glottal tension with the "c" of "counters." In the end you'll have a sound that feels like "bric- counters."
If 'Brick Counters' is uncomfortable to say, just use his full name, Brichard Counters. There, problem solved.
Graham years ago; “What’s wrong with infect?!?”
Graham today; “could never get the -1/-1 counter deck to work” 😢
1996 here and sounding off
Thanks for this video.
Oh man I LOVED Amonkhet Draft, still one of, if not my favorite, draft formats there is. Now I just want to go buy a box and get my friends to draft it with me
This was my first set, so I have such a love any thing Amonkhet
