Are they supplied very meager & overpopulated accommodations outside the city? Most do not ever receive their paycheck & have little chance of ever seeing their families again? I mean no offense, I am simply curious to get other people’s perspectives so I can see the reality and not go by one person’s experience only. Thank you 🙏🏼
@discussionswiththeuniverse That is not really true. Workers are protected by the law, and any violations of the law are punished. One such law is the prohibition of labor workers working under the sun during summer from 12 PM to 3 PM. Their salaries are much more than what they would receive back at home, and they come to the country with the amount of money they receive in mind. Also, if you ever do visit, you can always talk to them regarding when they last saw their families, a common answer I receive is " a few months ago ", so they can travel at will. As for their accommodations, there are some free accommodations given to them if they so choose to live in these accommodations, if not, they could opt out of it I believe. In general, everything appears to be smooth in the UAE.
