- September 16, 2023, St. John Bosco came to Kahuku for a football game. Here is the whole game edited to just over 20 min. Yes, there is the Haka at the end. Hope you enjoy!

AS a BOSCO parent, visiting LAIE, HAULA I’ve always loved the tradition Kahuku, GREAT ATMOSPHERE!!! Had a little to much PAPA OLE’S So I was falling in and out of sleep!! Lmao!!! Those boys played their hearts out!!! Congrats RED RAIDERS.. #40’s pops #BRAVE NATION!!! OFAZ IS ALOFAZ!!

unreal upset. Could you imagine if kahuku won last week too and if kahuku beat the rest of the hawaii teams on its schedule? Kahuku would of been national champs. Crazy to think

@@notyourmomma7663 beating the number 1 and number 2 teams in the nation? Also having those teams win out? They would likely be either up there. The year St. Louis went undefeated they were ranked #5 with one top 15 win. Kahuku would of had two top 2 wins which is unmatched.
@@asilsweater the polls would of ranked them number 1. There's no real winner since no tournament but its all politics and polls. What really hurts them is they lost 55-3 though last week. It wasn't even close

It’s possible that SJB wins this game 9 out of 10 times. But that’s not how it works. To me they came out flat and by the time they realized hey were in a game tonight they pressed & did not execute. It’s a bunch of 16-18 year olds. Is bets they lay an egg in The preseason than later on. Now they know they can’t just shou up & collect a win.
@@khworker1322 Even in Hawaii, I've seen kahuku will their team to a win. Some of the best games over the years were against St louis when they were more talented but Kahuku willed their team to a win. Their passion is unmatched

12:40 boscos #4 receiver was off the line and he didnt check down with the ref to get his self on the line, you can see the ref throw the flag immediately, that was the illegal formation and why that TD got called back...us fans and the commentators couldnt see it on the live broadcast view.
Wasn’t expecting this upset I think Mater Dei will go all the way this year.

@@hocuz9473 it was because after the tackle was made the defender stared down on the player. It was about after the tackle, not the tackle itself

WOW! ALOHA! MAHALO! What an incredible result for everyone on the Islands! It may be NE Oahu, but I think the folks in Maui may be enjoying a break from their struggles seeing U.S. No. 1 go down.
Looked like Bosco blew some opportunities. Congratulations to the Red Raiders for doing everything they needed to pull out a win, and I hope that the boys on both teams know our Lord Jesus Christ, and the parents!! He will save us on that great day!!
Both teams flagged. First half Bosco 5/43yrds Kahuku 10/90yrds . Refs helped Bosco.
12:40 illegal formation #4 flagged thrown before the ball left QB hands. Hence no touch down
Bosco got their Field goal and first touchdown because of the ref questionable calls against kahuku. First half would have been a blow out but refs helped Bosco.

Unfortunately for Kahuku, the referees also came out to play. In plain sight, it's difficult to call it an upset. That last drive was garbage calling by the home referee crew. The kids on both teams played their hearts out. No disrespect to them. Just wish it would have been called correctly on the field.
If you watched the game and replays on OC-16 the refs made the right calls.
Watch the replays. The refs made the right calls. SJB was holding all night but never got called.
Not even close, even the broadcasters were trying to find out what the penalties were because the flags came in so late. They even started predicting the holding calls every time the ball was advanced for a first down. That's the sad part. The boys from either team didn't deserve that. Kahuku has my total respect. It's not their fault the refs didn't do their job properly. The last INT wasn't even close, it was the most obvious fictitious call of the night.

@hocuz9473 Only exposure here was from the refs. Bosco plays great football, that's obvious, and their coaching staff are good people. Playing hard isn't the same as playing dirty. Like I said, this has nothing to do with the Kahuku program or Bosco program. I don't favor either team. I just observe and state the obvious, my friend. Making excuses as fans is the biggest show of weakness. I'm glad the boys and coaches aren't making excuses.
Crazy how ppl are talking. Saying the home team didn’t get help from the refs. Look at the 2nd half so many ridiculous flags even the commentators were questioning the refs. At the end of the game one of the refs just ran off suspicious in my opinion . Ignorant people thinking this game was fair. Trust me im a neutral person (non bias) and this game shouldn’t be celebrated by the locals. Bosco won that game in the 2nd half amazing comeback

Both teams got flagged alot. Bosco just got sour after kahuku last TD and started playing poor sport which added 4 more penalties in the last minute.

@@CryptoFonzy Bosco on one of their drives were gifted two huge penalties at the end of two plays that got them almost 60yds total which resulted a TD. Anyone intellectually honest can make a case for both sides. Kahuku was up 22-3 before flags really started flying. Handle your L’s with grace. Stay classy Bosco 🤙🏾
