It is a mistake of the universe -- some inexcusable, accidental and unfortunate twist in a black hole, or a distiurbance in the Kuyper Belt -- that Alan Cumming didn't play Hedwig during any of its runs. After John Cameron Mitchell, he is THE most absolutely and completely perfect choice in ever way.
I saw it and believe NPH killed.... Then again, that could be biased.... Don't get me wrong I LOVE Alan Cumming but he has more of a classic Broadway feel to his voice. This musical isn't geared to his vocals.....
