- Watch as I make a very simple pencil holder for my growing collection.
I used some salvaged walnut from a local furniture company and finished it with mineral oil and paste wax.
Never starting something is the best way to ensure that you never learn something new.
I want to thank Jimmy DiResta and Gary Vaynerchuk simply because they are both inspirational and genuine people. Both Jimmy and Gary said that hey often make content and keep it unlisted but the point is that something was made. And that got me thinking about my own projects.

Thanks ❤️
Very simple but beautiful
Thanks a lot 😊
Walnut is sooooo pretty!
It is my favorite for sure, and fortunately my most abundant wood. :)
That looks amazing! You - spends time making a great piece. Me - pulls empty jar out of recycling, lol
Well, what you put in that jar will be amazing. I pull the wood out of the dumpster and try to make something useful.
Nice 🥰
Thanks for watching!
What finish you are using on it
I used mineral oil and then a paste wax.
Thanks for watching!
Looks great! What type of finish did you use before the paste wax? Just a mineral oil?
Yup, I used a Minwax Paste and mineral oil.
Thanks mate! I made one with single row of holes with my father's tools.
What type of tools? I'm sure fly tying or leather tools would work well.
@@heyimamaker We had light use portable cutting and drilling machines.
i am from Brazil. eu amei 😍😍
Welcome :)
I love the quality of what you make and the video (editing and all!). All the best to you!
Thank you! This was shot last winter. I sat on it for so long unsure about making videos at all. I am glad that I finally got started though.
What sizes are the drill bits?
Off the top of my head I think about 8mm or 9/32"
Very nice :) ॐ
