      Ah, Mizongyi, a fascinating style indeed. While I appreciate its principles, my focus lies primarily on Wing Chun and KT3 self-defense. These arts emphasize practicality and adaptability, crucial for real-world scenarios. If you're interested, I recommend exploring the cornerstone of our training, mastering the art of 'closing the gap.' • @masterwong101
      @masterwong101  4 месяца назад +1

      Absolutely, my friend. Kicking the legs can be effective, especially against taller opponents. It disrupts their balance and mobility, creating an opportunity for you to control the situation. However, remember, the key is not just in the technique but in your adaptability. Keep assessing and adjusting your strategy as the situation evolves. "Fight move, people move."

      In self-defense, understanding the environment and the attacker's capabilities is key. By controlling their weapons and neutralizing their advantages swiftly, you ensure your safety while being prepared for any additional threats.
      Remember, the cornerstone of our training is mastering the art of 'closing the gap.' This skill is invaluable in real-world confrontations, enabling you to control the situation effectively.
      The adaptability factor is crucial too, as combat situations are dynamic. As I always say, "fight move, people move." Flexibility and quick thinking are essential for survival.

    How do you defend yourself when they get you on your back on the ground? Maybe they do a leg sweep and trip you or catch you off guard and a heavy push knocking you over.

    • @masterwong101
      @masterwong101  4 месяца назад +1

      In such a situation, adaptability is key. Firstly, remain calm. Use your legs to create distance, protecting your space. Then, swiftly assess your surroundings. Remember, the ground can be your ally. Use it to your advantage. Roll with the momentum, redirecting their force. With practice, even the ground becomes a platform for self-defense. As I always say, "The way you do anything is the way you do everything."

      Ah, dealing with being grabbed from behind is a common concern, especially for women. In my experience, it's crucial to stay calm and act swiftly. First, maintain your balance by bending your knees slightly. Then, using your arms, strike back towards the attacker's face or groin. Remember, speed and surprise are key. @Master Wong - while practicing recently I discovered that when performing elbow strikes with the thumb facing towards yourself feels a lot more natural and has more flow, compared to thumb facing down. I was wondering if there is a reason for that, or does it depend on the situation? Thank You!

    • @masterwong101
      @masterwong101  3 месяца назад +1

      In my system, both methods have their merits. The natural flow you feel with the thumb facing towards you is valid, emphasizing comfort and fluidity. However, situational factors also play a role. Experiment with both orientations to adapt to various scenarios. Keep exploring!

    Master Wong I love the energy you embrace, without the adrenaline your body can easily burnout & will become useless, to the the mind, so they both have to be equally balance, but the mind is the most important, bcuz how can the body even learn how to follow if the mind isnt in the right place to lead it, thanks Master Wong for all your doing, do you think one day you can teach about keepin the anger away from your great teachings, whats the best solution for avoiding the anger from corrupting your mind.? Thanks again, i still have this long road of achieving before conquering believing. thanks until next important lesson, blessings wise friend.🙏🏾💯⛈️

      In my experience, balance is key. Just as in combat, where every movement must harmonize with intention, so must our emotions align with our goals. Anger, if left unchecked, can be a destructive force. But through awareness and discipline, we can channel it into focused energy. Remember, anger and insult are temporary; death is permanent. The mind leads, the body follows. Embrace tranquility, and let the storm within settle. Train hard, live clean, and not let anyone bully you. 🙏💪
