I usually dont play visual novel type games, however this has rhythm elements so im definitely interested! The story seems interesting too so I’ll definitely be picking this up! Thanks for the awesome review! 😄

I couldn't reveal too much but the songs are absolute bangers! They almost made me shed a tear on how touching they were... 🥲

Just a point - “lesser known otome developer”? Broccoli is arguably the biggest (or at least the one releasing the games that sell the most) otome developer nowadays. Uta no Prince Sama is huge in Japan and it’s the one otome the West has been missing all these years.

We are referring to otome devs in the west. Rest assured we know our stuff

    "There's only 50 save slots"
Only? (I don't play otome games)

Otome games generally give you 100 save slots, because a common way to play is to create a separate save slot for every choice, or regular session. Jack Jeanne does require you to save regularly, because it takes a while to figure out the optimal strategy of which stat to raise and how to plan your time accordingly.

A game that scratches a sort of bi itch while also being a rhythm game? Damn let's go!!!

    As an otome freak
This is not the game for me
Very disappointed ( no lick of roMAnCE)
Just bunch of guys acting (and their interaction is not that interesting ) bruhhhhh
The repetitive mantra of doing agility or etc is a freaking hassle
Dont like visual novels where they give u unnecessary boring repetitive things to do that just make the gameplay even more unbearable
I dont like tokyo ghoul i shouldnt have bought this game

For me, This is the best otome game. Played like 20+ otome games and only played the half of them and dropped. Jack Jeanne is so unique in a way because it actually focuses in the PLOT and not just romance romance and romance. It also has gameplay and so you don't just pick and pick decisions until the end.

@@BhelleAu well that is the main purpose of an “otome” game maiden in love so of course it will be about romance romance and romance
It is a visual novel so obviously do not need a gameplay
There is no plot in this game it is just about teaching u how to act with weird theatrics
Other otome games actually have a plot and romance
This game is more about Bromance and acting school so calling it otome is misleading

@@feistymind4915 Fair enough. You could say that. But mann, I really hope there'll be more "Visual Novel" games with female protagonists that are similar to this game.

@@BhelleAu I haven't played the game yet (this video confirmed for me that I should order it) but from what I've seen of the walkthroughs, I agree. I've given a few otomes a fair shot, but they don't pull me in. I can't stand passive, obtuse, or bland MCs, and the romance often reads like a 14-year-old's bad fan fiction. At least all the characters in Jack Jeanne appear to have driving motivations and distinct personalities, and it doesn't try to stuff cringe romance into every other scene.
I'll try to report back on how it goes. I'm actually looking forward to it.

@@netherworlde I have played it already and IMMA TELL YOU! THIS IS THE BEST OTOME GAME I'VE PLAYED. For once, I've actually finished an otome game😭 Although it's true that it doesn't really focus on the romance BUT I love it that way. It's just a matter of preference really. If you love music and actual plot then you'll like it for sure
