Next time you cut the onions like that, cut yourself a small flat part on the round side so the onion doesn’t roll and sits still so you can cut it. 😉

I wasn't born in the world of computers either, so in my opinion, you folks are doing great with all that tech. (I'm 70 and trying to keep up. We're living in a whole new world from the one I first showed up in. Gotta stay buckled up for this wild ride!) 😉❤

Brenda I make a cabbage an onion casserole! It’s super simple. Here ya go!
Thinly slice a medium head of cabbage and thinly slice 3 medium onions (4-5 if you like onions). Spray a 9 x 13 pan with nonstick spray. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Melt a stick of salted butter.
Put a thin layer of cabbage, then onion, then drizzle a little melted butter. And sprinkle of salt. Continue the layers of cabbage/onion/butter and salt. End with cabbage and pour remaining butter around the top. It looks like it’s not going to fit in pan, but it will!
Cover it tightly with aluminum foil and bake covered 45 minutes at 400 degrees. Remove foil and continue baking an additional 10-15 minutes or u til the cabbage begins to brown in places.
Remove from oven and let it set a few minute then enjoy!
I take this to potlucks an always come home with an empty pan and have people wanting the recipe, sometimes it’s gone before I get through the food line!
(You can also peel and thinly slice 4 potatoes and make layers of them between the cabbage and onions).

As I've gotten older I use a fork to hold onions and potatoes when sliceing. Just keep the back of fork tines pointed toward knife when cutting. Works great.

A tip I use is making a T out of tinfoil and putting it down the side of my stove and counter. Keeps stuff from falling down the crack. Fold the ends to the middle making the shaft part of the T and the middle the flat top . Best of all just throw away every couple weeks when dirty

That looks and sounds delicious! I always pick up my onions in the red mesh bag that my JCs (Kroger) store have on discount ....... 4 large onions for $1. Next time I will be making this!

I found a recipe that used 4 thin sliced sweet onions layered in a 9 by 13 pan topped with uncrushed mesquite BBQ chips(half an 11 oz bag) layer 1 cup sharp cheddar shredded. Mix 2 10 3/4 cans cream of chicken soup with 1/2 cup milk pour half of this over the casserole. Continue with the layers top with the remaining BBQ chips crushed. Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 350. Serves 10 or if your house is like mine 4! Your recipe sounds yummy!

Brenda your casserole sounds so good! Ill try it this week. I dont know what happened to Davids hand but please keep an eye on it, Im diabetic and 5 yrs ago I got a MRSA infection and was in the hospital for 3 months. It really scared me, Im so scarred up now, they had to keep taking me to surgery to continue to remove dead tissue. Show it to a Dr. If theres any question.

Put some Dawn liquid on the spots on your apron and shirt and rub it in good and wait a couple of hours before you wash it so good on all kinds of stains.
