Any winning margin of under 50 is pretty close in tests..
Secondly I personally don't consider only the winning margin.
I look at the situation of the entire test.
Meaning how closely it was fought or how many twist and turns were there.
Example Pakistan started at 26-6.
India had a complete grip.
Then a lead of around 40 for India in first innings.
Then chasing 279 India had a 108 run opening partnership.
Etc etc...
So overall it was highly intense and pretty close.
Geoffrey Boycott said during this series that "Wasim & Waqar could bowl out England with an Orange" That's how dangerous they were on that tour!! Great memories.
That time Wasim and Waqar won the battle with bat amazing pair
People remember Wasim Waqar in this test and series..
Must not forget Mushtaqs contribution.

Yes I also listened these matches commentary on radio because test matches of that series was not telecasted live on ptv we used to watch highlight on next day but last three one day matches were telecasted by Ptv

This Dua of Wasim and Waqar was a nightmare for England between 1990 to 2001.
One can see the innocence after taking wickets from both sides , even when umpire don't raise the finger they walk if they knew they were caught ... Look at todays bowlers ... Abusive words, stare, glare ... MA behn ... Likes to these gentlemen

Same here...because these matches weren't telecasted by ptv next day night we used to watch highlights and only last three one day matches of that tour was telecasted by ptv and those three matches were played after test series first two one day matches were played before test series and Pak lost one day series by 4-1

Waqar younis my childhood hero. . whenever he had wicket less match I was extremely disappointed. My cousin he was a big fan of waseem as we experienced both W'S had great rivalry and due to this rivalry me and cousin also had rivalry that's why i hated wasim so much at that time. But as we grew up and matured I realised Wasim was way ahead of waqar in term's of skills. But still I lived with as waqar younis fan. .
Waqar was way ahead of cunning Wasim Akram. Wasim Akram was an average fast bowler before Waqar's debut but when Waqar came he introduced full length swinging deliveries from short length deliveries and he invented sharp reverse swing, late reverse swing, banana swing,inswing Yorker... All these deliveries were not known before Waqar's arrival. There was light reverse swing which was invented by Sarfaraz Nawaz but not at that scale as Waqar used to bowl. Wasim was so jealous of Waqar because Waqar took all the limelight because of his match winning abilities. He always used to take top order batsmen wicket unlike Wasim who used to take tailenders.
Waqar was better bowler in his prime than Waseem n any other bowler. But later in his career , he declined in perfomance
Waqar was robbed off at least 3 wickets in the first innings
