Pretty fun villain though, he’s fun to watch.) 4. Tremors Cold Day in Hell (I like this one better than others. Biggest complaint is the lack of snow. Great Burt quotes, good kills and lots of Graboid guts) 3. Tremors 4 (Really love this one. The western esthetic is done amazingly and the effects are the second best in the series. Black Hand Kelly is a really fun gunfighter that has possibly the best death of anybody in the whole series. Great movie.) 2. Tremors 2 (This one goes toe-to-toe with the original. Tremors 3 back to perfection 6.5/10 Might shock some people for this being up this much but Burt is great and some old characters return but the cgi yikes 3. Tremors 4 the LEGEND BEGINS 8/10 Hell yea with a grate theme grate Setting and characters that are fun this a good sequel 2 tremors 2 aftershocks 9.5/10 Sad that Kevin isn’t back but this is a fateful sequel with cool action and ok new lead character to the team 1. Tremors 10/10 What else can I say it’s the best must fun jaws rip off every
Just watched the new won, it was enjoyable, easily a step up from the 6th, I think it would be a tie with the third, the humor was better than the last two and visuals looked pretty good. Glad to see the ass blasters aren't in one of these movies because they're not original. And it was refreshing to see the shriekers back with their new design. The new characters were good, but not as good as Grady from the second. Heres my ranking: 7 A Cold Day in Hell 6 Bloodlines 5 Back to Perfection 4 Shrieker Island 3 The Legend Begins 2 Aftershocks 1 The OG
I watched 3 again recently. It's really not as great as some remember. It takes over 30 minutes to get going, the editing feels a bit amateurish, and the director even uses footage from the first movie to save money just to be cheap. Plus, there's an over reliance on CGI. It's not terrible, but it's not great either
Already planned as one of the five horror film series that i will rank this month in time for Halloween, also I'm going to rank the John Carpenter's Apocalypse Trilogy which also includes The Thing
I really adore the first movie, it's one of my all time favorites, i love the stories gradual escalation and the use of practical effects. The second movie was really good had a genuinely unexpected twist and i always thought the shrieker had the potential to be such awesome monsters. They shrieking first of all but also their ability to rapidly and almost exponentially reproduce would make them almost unstoppable in a area with access to more food (very disapponted this wasnt part of 5 in africa where there is so much more wildlife for the shriekers to prey upon). The cgi was not up to par on the third movie and although flying is a cool evolutionary step i think the combustion was just silly and i think if they are meant to lay their eggs deep in the ground they function almost like the birds that dive under the water to catch fish (not pelicans).
Haven't seen 6 or 7, but here's my personal ranking: 1. Tremors (1990) 4.5/5 - A really fun monster movie. I like how it wasn't gory and how it managed to still be scary while comedy was involved. Val, Earl and Burt are great characters and while the other characters don't stand out like the main ones, they still are effective. A film with amazing practical effects and one of the best movies I ever experienced. 2. Tremors 2 (4/5) - I believe this is the first film where they used computer generated effects, noticed it in a couple of scenes. It was disappointing that Kevin Bacon decided to participate in another film instead of returning, but Earl returned and that was good enough for me. It wasn't as great as the original, but Earl and Burt team up, we get a character that replaces Val who isn't that bad and it's got slightly better characters than the original. The best out of the sequels in my opinion. 3. Tremors 5 (3/5) - I'm gonna start off by saying that this is not a great movie, saw it on Syfy. I'll say that it's an improvement over 3 & 4, not amazing, but solid. Burt Gummer, as always, gives a fresh performance and I liked how they cast Jamie Kennedy (gave me Scream vibes). The characters are forgettable, but what to expect?. The visuals are cool in my opinion. 4. Tremors 4 (2/5) Not sure if I came to like this movie. It's not great like the 2nd film. For me, it came up short for a prequel. Not taking anything away from the characters, but I don't find this movie likeable. At least it's not CGI. 5. Tremors 3 (1/5) Easily the least good sequel in the franchise. Low quality CGI, boring acting and the ass-blasters are just awful. At least we got Burt Gummer giving a light hearted performance, Melvin is back and the concept of the Albino Graboid was interesting. All in all, it failed on its premise.
1. Tremors- 9.3/10 There isn't much to say besides this is a great movie. 2. Tremors 4 The beginning-7.5/10 It was cool to see the beginning of everything but I think it could've been better here and there. This movie is forgettable. 3. Tremors 2 Aftershocks- 7/10 Not so bad but was also a bit boring and without Kevin Bacon it just doesn't feel right. 4. Tremors 3 Back to Perfection- 2.5/10 So poorly made with nothing to enjoy. This is one of my guilty pleasures.
Cold day in hell the worst Bloodlines second worst 4 if you bring this up you litterly like Burts' son 3 not bad but not the worst Shrieker island meh Number 2 hell yeah its no the best but its still good Number 1 this is the G.O.A.T.

The combustion wasn't silly, it's based on a real thing
The fact that it propels them? Pretty weird
