- Ok…this is a big one.
Today, I’m going to breakdown the two teaser trailer for the upcoming Disney+ film, Descendants: The Rise of Red. We’ll take a deep dive into our old and new characters, discuss the plot and make some predictions about what could happen. Reminders that while the film will first premiere on Disney+ July 12th, Disney Channel will follow suit when it premieres on Aug. 9th later this summer. Prepare yourselves Descenders, this movie could most likely change the entire franchise as we know it.

The Isle of The Lost (2015) is a prequel story to Descendants (2015)
Return to The Isle of the Lost (2016) is a prequel story to Descendants Wicked World series (2015-2017)
Rise of the Isle of the Lost (2017) is a prequel story to Descendants 2 (2017)
Escape from the Isle of the Lost (2019) is a prequel story to Descendants 3 (2019)
Beyond the Isle of the Lost (2024) is obviously a prequel story to Descendants The Rise of Red (2024)
Honestly, a descendants movie focusing on Mal, Jay, and Evie would feel wrong without Carlis, so im glad their introducing more VKs instead. That being said, i fo hope the other OGs get sone kind of mention, like maybe Evie's made it big as a fashion designer and her company is mentioned in passing, something along those lines.

I'm confused about how Chad and Chloe are related. They must be siblings, but this version of Cinderella definitely seems far too smart and sensible to raise a son as stupid as Chad. They can still be biological siblings. You don't have to look like your family to be related to them. 😇

See I have to worry about how this will affect my Mass Effect Novel, Second Chances, since it crosses over with the Trilogy, but not the animated short.
Why does the Queen of Hearts from Wonderland want to stir up a coup in Auradon? Does it have anything to do with Red being a student at the Auradon High School?
I honestly can't say anything about that and the trailer hasn't made it clear. I wonder if Beyond the Isle of the Lost will hint at it but since I'm about halfway through I won't spoil it so we're pretty much in the dark until the movie come out.

Well that was just a theory I propose and right now it hasn't been confirmed yet. I'm having my doubts about it as well but if it's a small cameo I would be ok with it.

The first article from Deadline was the first to acknowledge the Royal Baby subplot. As I stated in the video, fans are speculating that it's the Descendants of Mal and Ben. But as of right now, nothing has been confirmed on the parents yet so when the movie premieres we'll probably get the answer.
