Due to complications of this crazy virus we’re all dealing with, I left the corporate world, moved my parents in with me to take care of them...and now I’m attempting to convert an extra room (which faces south) into a soap studio. I have blackout curtains on the windows, hung a oscillating fan in one corner and I swear it dropped the temperature by 20 degrees!
Loved the tour and garnered a lot of great ideas!! Thank you for being so gracious and transparent! I’m confident you’ll accomplish whatever you set your sights on and I look forward to watching you grow!
Do you have a “Vision Board”? If not, I highly encourage you to create one. One side could be short term goals and the other your long term goals and place it where you see it several times a day! God Bless!!

What a great work space! Not sure if you have the room to do this, but a possible solution for "Big Boy". If Big Boy is on wheels and you have room and a spare air vent you can mostly block off just roll the shelf to the vent and add a second black out curtain to cover the other side. If your vents aren't in the best position (like just flat against the wall) you can get a really inexpensive diverter that has magnets so it's easy to remove. If you don't want to move the entire shelf unit you could do the same thing with a smaller cart for just the oils. Thanks for sharing your space with us! I love the map and can't wait to see it all filled up! Would love to see a video when it's completed.

I am so impressed! I do suggest you refrigerate the grapeseed oil so it doesn't get rancid. Some people put a small bit of vit e or ROE in their oils to extend their life.

Try working with Irish seamoss. Feels good. Herbs feel good too, like chamomile, mullein, calendula, orange peel, peppermint. Look for sialogogues and lymphagogues.

I want to better organize but I think this will do for now.
I don't have enough shelf space to reorganize my oils, but my lye is kept separate intentionally.

What way do u make your soap melt and post or with lye or other?
I do cold process for selling and melt and pour for fun
Excellent video and may your business grow grow grow!!! You made everything work!!!! Question? You said in the comment above that you do cold process soaping and it takes 4-6 weeks for CP soap to cure. How do you sell the soap? Because I know some folks won’t wait 4-6 weeks.
Hey what are the bags called that you use for your body butter when shipping during the summer?
I tried thermal insulated bubble mailers and leak proof gel ice pack sheets but now I just add a little wax to my recipe

I do not. I only add a preservative if I add water or if I think the product will come in close contact with water.
