Chicken salt... Mitani FTW
Absolutely, it's the original recipe with no MSG. The others add MSG, and that's just admitting that what they came up with wasn't good enough.
This is the only answer. I have Chippy because that's all I can get here and it is crap. Will have my sister bring some Mitani from Aus when she comes over in a few months.
digitalsparky....... You got that right.
Hamburger with the works ("lot burger") is definitely the best burger in the world.
Hands down. Just don't go ordering any "with the lot" when wearing your best clothes. Also it's compulsory to get a large chips and coke with it.
If I'm correct Mitani came up with chicken salt. They are also 5 minutes from my house. Bit of useless trivia.
Yes, they are the Original.
The man who came up with it is from Gawler SA
I believe. He sold the formula and rights to Mitani..
True.
Aussie as bro

Mitani bought the recipe in 1979.
12 bucks for a meat pie is just ridiculous
If you buy food at the airport
It was probably Double Bay lol
I buy 6 Pack at the Supermarket for $9 every so often.
In Berry NSW, There were to cafe's one was selling for $15 and the other $18. Got to love Tourist towns
@@cmondevils lol, yes well Airport food is ludicrous, they hav ya by the short and curly's
It annoys me no end when people park over the footpath. What about baby strollers and wheelchair uses etc? My father used a wheelie type walker for the last few years of his life, something like that would have forced him out onto the road. I hate these tanks.
Awww, Happy Birthday Andrew!
Tow hitch injury in Australia makes the vehicle insurance liable for injury compensation if the person injured cares to follow through a claim. By receiving injury from the protruding hitch, it is treated the same as injury by being hit by moving vehicle, even though the vehicle itself was stationary, and the injured person did not pay attention.
Thus it is highly preferred to have a removable tow hitch, locked in place by a lock pin, while needing its use. The remenant mounting them is within bumper outline and no longer liable if someone somehow skins their shin.
My local bakery, sells pies for $4.90, or you can get 2 "messed up a little" ones for $5/ The butcher across from them sells pies for $8.90!
Happy birthday Andrew 🎉
Healthy Harold..
Teaching kids how to claim the parenting payment since 1979.🤣🇦🇺🦒
About to sit down and watch the mighty Maggies v the Bulldogs. Four n 20's in the oven. looking forward to a good night. Herbert Adam's producing a very good pie these days :)
Rare American food is outrageous. Cereal boxes up to $25 a box and Twinkies $20 a box in QLD. Repaying the favour to tourists.
i like how you say ( how you going), you sound like an aussie,
ours use to be 200k. our gameshows dont have the population and business to support the big multimillion dollars won in american game shows. i think it was once 500k or something but not when it was every weeknight.
Mitani Chicken Salt, the original & the best. The only Chicken Salt to use.
They don't tax food but the service taxes are ridiculous!
do you realise there is an aussie meat pie cafe in chicago -barangaroo meat pies
Have tasted all of them and 'Anchors' Chippy Chicken Salt is the best, hands down!
Mitani is the original.
I am not much of a salt person, but do use the Anchor version now and again.
Current exchange roughly sixty four thousand dollars is for a hundred thou US
Mitani is the best chicken salt IYKYK. Last time i had to buy chippy salt because they were out of Mitani and it's terrible in comparison
Please, protect your son from RUclips. Don't make any specials where you open packets with him or anything like that. It will just get all the creeps watching. I had to stop following some RUclipsrs, because their channel was turning into a bunch of pedos just sending stuff to their girl and talking about her in the comments.

Why have we not setup a Gofundme for business class return flights for Ian and his family to Aus yet?
Pies usually sell 4 roundabout 5 to $6
Sydney is an overpriced city over double the prices here in Ballarat Victoria
At our local bakery, Sausage Rolls are $3.80 and $4,50 for a Plain pie and $5.00 for Gourmet pies.
Over priced and Overrated.
Mitani chicken salt is the best , hands down
Chippy salt > everything else
KEN OTH
Beware the lure of the hot box sausage rolls and pies especially at those prices they’re probably three days old coz who’s paying that much
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREW , cant believe how fast time goes . i remember when he was the baby . next thing sydney will be at school . jeeez i feel old lol
Why smuggle cocaine or other drugs to the U.S? Meat Pies & Sausage Rolls is the word! 😉
gameshows in Australia are much more small time in any case because the population is much smaller and available ad buys for TV shows aren't going raise significant cash in any economy compared to the USA
I’ve never paid $12 bucks for a pie but I paid $31.50 for two cans of bundy ginger beer at the footy last night!
FFS!!!
does not look like they have a huge turnover ,3 pies and a sausage roll , I bet they will still be there this time next week . Any decent bakery ,take away or even a servo that sell them at a resonable price can sell dozens a day
Hi Ian, localpie here in Far Nth NSW which are FULL of meat are only Au $5. Gotta love your ending the Boomerang rocket.🪃😂
$12 for a pie that’s a rip off. You can buy 2 pies In Brisbane for that.
Chippy Salt for the win.
All the game shows are on during the day, so not a huge audience.
@ 1:31 This has become a disgrace. Journalists were once considered the guardians of the language, and were masters of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. This type of thing is now commonplace and I find it so frustrating! Is it laziness or plain ignorance? And it all makes it past editing!! Or doesn't that happen any more? 😱😭
vid started with sausage rolls and you asked what could $10 get you? well i have a grocery order coming this arvo and 1 item is a 24 pack of store brand frozen "party sausage rolls" which are basically 8 full size sectioned into 3 pieces. cost gor the box? $8 or a buck each fll size roll. they are not the best saus rolls but a nice budget snack on a cold day.
Deal or No Deal was originally on TV about ten years ago. I used to watch it but the gambling and all the losses made me stop watching it. The series ended soon after I stopped watching. This year they brought it back with a different host and the gambling is pushed more than ever! I knew that from the early promos and decided I wasn’t going anywhere near it. The same thing with the Aussie version of the British quiz show, Tipping Point. I love the British version but the Aussie one is also pushing the gambling, so I refuse to watch it.
B.Y.O. Tomato sauce with the pie and sausage roll segment
they have changed that '40 year old woman in her 30's' I originally sa this on Wednesday, showed my Dad yesterday, & they have changed t to '40 year old woman'
Jesus... $12 for a pie.
Owwwwww, that hurts to think about. Here in my favourite bakery/cafe, I can get a great one for $NZ4.00.
i think i will start selling sausage rolls. I make a batch of 8 at a time. the sausage mine costs $10/kg and I use 500g. Two eggs $2.00 some breadcrumbs $020 and some sauces about 0.40 and the pastry $1.50 so all up is less than $9 for eight sausage rolls. At that rate i would expect them to be selling for around $5 each to cover labour cooking oncosts and profit.
Um I sent danniela many links to Aussie bakeries in Chicago that deliver hot and cold
cost of living is higher for sure but not ain all places in europe / lisbon i can live very well with 1500€ a month easy easy
Virgin flights are so expensive coz they gotta get a new plane for each flight ;)
Hamburger with the lot, no pineapple please 😎🍻

Australia doesn’t have high prize money for game shows, the highest amount for Deal or No Deal is 100,000. The UK is much much lower! Tipping Point has a daily prize amount of 10,000, if they can get the prize coin to drop before they run out of questions. UK quiz show, Pointless, has a prize amount of 2,000 unless no one wins it and then it carries over till the next day.
#IWROCKER have you tried peri~peri salt?
Stick ice cream is a golden gay time
AS someone who has bought more than a dozen so called chicken salts over the years, Anchor salt, it is the closest to KFC salt, with it's garlic and onion powder. Mitani has curry powder, paprika, and a few other crap flavours that shouldn't be on chips. I've never tried the other one, but I will if I see it. Some have chicken stock cube flavours which are sometimes ok, but once you've had Anchor, the others will have to be on special before you'll try anything else.
Deal or No Deal is a numbers game based on probabilities, and basically they add all of the prizes together and halve it for the offer.
So if someone has the top and bottom prize left, $100k minus 50c = 99,999.50, with a 50/50 chance of winning so the fair odds to offer would be $50k and slightly in the players favour, and the player is likely to take the $50k, which takes away from their nail biting 'come back after the break' moments.
The odds are that if they had a $1m prize people would walk out after 3 minutes with a $40k practical life changing amount, rather that keep gambling for a not likely to win $400k amount. Most people just want to pay the mortgage for a year or 2, or even just for a couple of months, and count that as a win.
The Burgers with the Lot that you keep seeing pictures of are never like that in real life, they are the cooking show burgers they keep showing you.
Think of a triple cheese burger from a normal shop, compared to one they make of the Food Channel, one is practical to eat and one is stupid.
Mitani or don't bother.
My local Bakery in Suburban Melbourne sells 8 inch long , baked on site Sausage Rolls for $ 4.50 , sauce is free . A delicious Pepper Steak pie fresh from the Oven is $ 6.50 . If you go 6km or 3.5 Miles into Melbourne City expect to pay at least Double for the same food . Rental prices for City Cafes are insane that's why food and Coffee prices in the City are twice the prices you pay in the Suburbs .
Not all pies are equal. Some are filled with real beef. Some are filled with God knows what. A good pie doesn't need dead horse either.
Sausage rolls on the other hand, 12 Friggin dollars is total robbery. These people need to be taken out the back and taught some repricing.
I have the anchor Chicken salt. Its ok but not the same as the fish n chip shop's
If the description says Beef pie then it’s to be made from reasonable to good quality beef, Meat pie can be whatever!
When Survivor USA first started I think the prize money was $1million but in the US you have to pay tax on that. Survivor AUS prize money I think was $500k but you get the $500k the tv network pay the tax on your behalf.
The kids don’t come to the vehicle, the people who work for that company come into the classroom and teach a lesson with handouts for the kids.
Nah we used to go in to the caravan looking thing with dark room and tiny holes in it that made it look like stars. And explained things on a screen. This was like early 2000's
Was actually fun ahhaha
Plus the little bags they gave you. With a badge. And details . Plus a hat and drink bottle
mitani is the og chicken salt, chippy salt is the cheap variant and not as good as mitani
Mitanni is the original
And Mitani is still the best.
Average price for a pie in Sydney is $5. That must be some ‘branded’ bakery.
I still read print newspapers. You would not believe the amount of typos, poorly worded grammar and simple spelling mistakes I find in them EVERY SINGLE DAY. When I think about how much these guys pay for their education and this is the result..................
There is an Australian owned and run pie & sausage roll shop in Illinois and 2 shops in Chicago and from what i hear there good.👍
You need an ID to drive, um maybe she said 30ish! I hate these typo errors, I really stop watching or reading if I see them! $12 pie, are they paying extra overtime to stay open? Even our game shows are struggling! I've been to onset game shows, love the free chocolates! Bring back parking inspectors! Naked alleged virgin, baggage issue? We do actually have a space centre here! .. Happy Birthday Andrew, hope you have lots of fun! 🙋❤️🎉
OK while shops must put a mark up on goods sold, such prices on meat pies and sausage rolls are RIPOFF. I do realise that food concessions at major sporting venues also charge high prices, they at least can justify their high prices because the venue charges them very highly on making the concession space and facility available, and also often carry considerable overhead on unsold overstock, as sales volume is unable to be perfectly estimated, leading to scrapping quantities, hopefully providing / donating excess to food services for homeless or disadvantaged assistance services not just dumped trash.
As far as supermarket, depending on brand and specific pie or sausage roll variant and pack size price can vary.
One of the major brands Four and Twenty, as 4 pie pack, standard Beef meat pie standard price is around $7 per4, Chicken&vegetable near same or $1 less, but regular supermarket discount weekly can have these down into $5 range, specific variants like Beef&pepper, Angus Beef normally around $11, but special reduced to $7.60. Other brands can be $8 to $12, and even only 2 per pack, but some real variants Sous Vide, Wagu Beef, and many more. Yet some house brand could be 8 basic meat pies for $6 or less. Individual 'cold' pies could be $3 region or less. Hot ready to eat will be marked up a bit on that depending on shop.
Sausage rolls mainly vary mainly by size less by varied recipe, but supermarket packs, 6 or 8 similar to basic meat pies. Individual quick microwave heatable pack, both meat pie and sausage roll normally around $3, with specials at $2 range or less frequently as low as $1.50.
Another variant are Pastie, either meat&veg or vegetable only, in 4 pack like basic meat pie in pricing.
In normal takeaway shops or small bakeries, hot meat pies of many flavour variants, including pepper curry chilli and many more typically are in $2.50 to $4 range. Pasties similar, and sausage rolls as low as half those prices though up to same prices.
Another variant are "party" pies, sausage rolls or pasties. Basically smaller 'bite' size items often served as finger food at gatherings and parties where large groups grab as needed. In supermarket pack a dozen or so might be $12, or less if on sale. Larger packs also available at scaled relative cost to quantity.
Those exorbitant prices in the video seem to be tourist zone or sports/special function concession offers typical.
Deal or No Deal in the UK, the jackpot is only £250k. I would suggest that prize goes up or down with the audience size.
I dont think you understand deal or no deal properly. there's supposed to be many low value prizes, to reduce the chance of high value. Also, the 100K max prize is normal. It's been like that for decades here.
Aussie here, my personal preference for the chicken salt would be Anchor Chippy salt. My friend in England buys it on Amazon, so should be able to get it in the US.
TV game shows? You have to remember how many people live here compared to there, and no one watches TV anymore, so.... yeah. The pies are at a 'tourist attraction', and you can always double the cost at those things. I bought 'Nice and Tasty' today, first time seeing it but it has MSG so I was in! ✌❤
That Great Wall Ute goes for between 25k-35k! I think he is pushing shit uphill to get 800k!
The Aussie dollar is now at .66USD, so 100k would only be 66k US. It might get you a car but that's about it lol
Happy birthday Andrew from Australia.
Happy Birthday Andrew Love from Oz
12 bucks a pie ? LOL!!!! Did Abbots and Ramsey make a baby who become a pie maker ?
He identifies as naked 😂😂😂
Me think typo ment to be $800 bucks and thats pushing it for them
Happy birthday little man
Cheers mate 🦘🇦🇺👍
I'm gonna go put a pie in the oven. A pack of six "Four and Twenty" Aussie pies is 8 dollars.
Omg! That's not your average pie price usually.
Saw someone tempting fate earlier this week by tailgating a B-Double logging truck.
The ute parking situation has nothing to do with the driver. A 20yr old commodore ute would also block the footpath, a ram truck would knock down the tennis court. It's town planning regulations that say a footpath only needs to be say 1m wide, so why would they make it wider as that would cost more. And if the ute parks so the path was clear no one would be able to manouvre in the carpark. Totally legal parking.
When you buy pies and sausage rolls made in a franchise or corporate bakery, they’re cheaper than the ones made by an individual baker in his own little bakery. They usually taste much better as well. So the price is easily lowered, go to a different store.
IGA has nice pies, sausage rolls, and cornish pasties. They dont seem to be mass produced products you see in some supermarkets.
$12 for a pie..no way
Yatala pies would be my pick around Brisbane
but if you want a damn fine cornish pasty .....Prices Bakery in Kadina S.A.

Mitani all the way! I used to buy Chicken Chippy Salt, but man is it more expensive and a lot more unhealthy than Mitani, it's like they took the original recipe and decided to screw with it to the point of making it worse.
a works burger is the best burger you can get, it's also nothing like that try hard crap attempt shown. it's on a big toasted flour roll and is a whole meal by itself.
but you can't expect much from anyone that say's "burger with the lot" uses brioche buns and puts chicken on it.
The guy who's ute blocked the tennis court entry probably wasn't entirely at fault... no signage, and also a parking space in that position would usually be painted out with diagonal yellow lines denoting it is to be kept clear for pedestrian access. But annoying nonetheless! 👍
In most Australian places tail-end to kerb is illegal, yet other places require it.
I once while doing a three point turn around in a side street outside a small group of shops, was observed with rear end to kerb in mid turning around having used the extra space of parking bays outside the shops reversing into the empty parking bay, as this was mid evening after the shops were all closed. Well as I drove out completing the turn around, a police car drove past the end of the road seeing my vehicle tail end to kerb. As I proceeded away, I have the police strobe lights and siren start behind me, I got pulled over and given a harsh lecture about illegal tail to kerb parking. I explained that I was turning around, looking for a specific address of a community house where a group meeting was to be held. The police started writing me a fine but neither officer could clarify the location I was seeking and finally cancelled completing the ticket and left me with a warning, stressing to do the three point turn it was not necessary to reverse into the parking space, as normally only road width is used for that turn around.
Happy Birthday Andrew 😁🎂🍧🎉🇺🇸🇦🇺🦘

Mitani is the original chicken salt, and the best. It is literally the recipe from the inventor of chicken salt, who sold it to Mitani. Chippy is terrible, you need to use 3 times the amount than Mitani before you can even taste it
The Australian space agency is A.R.S.E.
