I own the R3 (first like gravel bike/road bike) built for the cobbled. I have 28c Pirelli tires on it and it rides like a dream! Super fast and comfy bike, love it and will keep it forever. Oh and it has rim brakes so super light at only 15.9 lbs!
@@GuyKesTV The Mounts (Garmin and Wahoo) are included in the standard accessories. Shop mechanic put in on the bottle cages and pedals when I came to pick up the new ride.
What is a maximum chainring size in 1x setup? I read somewhere that 44T with almost no air between frame and chainring? Is this true? In 3T you can go as large as 50T, Ridley even beyond that. Race'y bike with max capability of 44T is... well... not very good. I know that AXS with 10T on the cassette is plenty, but not as efficient as 46x13t.
I'm riding the Cannondale super six Evo CX. Clearance for 700x45 although I've squeezed in 48's. That is a fast bike with great handling and actually really comfy.
@dave o I fitted a BB infinate BB to cure that problem. Granted you probably shouldn't have to, but it makes the bike. Chainring selection on the Cannondale is also very poor. 42 is the maximum, unless you get a SRAM AI specific Chainset, which in the current parts climate is 18 months away 🤦
Hahaha your killing yourself man!!!! Those tree roots and trail washouts almost knock you over haha. Man not a smooth ride dude!!! Yeah your going fast but I believe you need a thicker tire like a 42 c. I guess this is your first ride?!?! Give it back man, this bike is for the young lads to play with and crash n break their young bones. If you crash it’s all over, not to mention the holy hell your wife will hit you with night n day forever haha! I’m speaking from experience 🤪
Agreed!!! Me too the holy hell you get from your wife isn’t worth it!!! I experienced it myself, you got loaned this bike, so no worries, but don’t do the mtb trails without wider tires 😅
i was sold at the clip when you were sending it down the ruff and mentioned the lifetime warranty on the reserve wheels and frame

Is your computer a Garmin and if so where the centered mount come from?
Thanks. I was running a Wahoo but you can get offset mounts for Garmin too. K-Edge do one for sure.

I just checked and Scott who designed it runs a 44T. It’s very close but it works fine. Sounds like that’s the top out though 😬
I love this bike but do you think the price is worth it ?
Hi! What tires and size do you use?
For not as extreme trails like you do you think i could do gravel with 32c tire?
Thanks
Yes I have specialized Roubaix 30/32 tires and I ride tuff gravel here in Texas.
Stick road skinnies on it and compare with a road bike. See how well it does the road bike job.
Obviously speedy but is there another competitor that has less compromise without sacrificing much speed? Vielo? 3T? Crux?
I’d say it’s comfier than the 3T and I’ve not ridden the Crux but yeah I’d be very keen to get this and the Vielo head to head
