Apparently, the va for the English version of Erwin never watched or read any attack on Titan after this episode. He was so committed to the character that he said “if Erwin doesn’t get to find out what’s in the basement, I don’t get to find out either”
This episode is, to put it simply, one of the best episodes ever made in history... This is the kind of stuff that should be teaching in script-writing school; all the emotions are there, you can really put yourself into any character and feel their impotence, their dilema...
no need to apologize for crying or being depressed after these episodes. it's part of what makes your reactions so good because we all felt that way. if you didn't I'd think there's something wrong with you
Now this is the ACTUALY episode I was dreading. As someone who loves Erwin, I don't think I would have been able to make this choice unbiased. Edit: You know what, after watching this it clicked in my mind that Levi told him to literally give up and die. I can make peace with Erwin being ready to clock out. I can accept this.
imo it's the best fictional story ever written too, above LoTR. It's got an 9.1 in Imdb after getting viciously review-bombed a couple times. I did the math and it'd have a 9.5/9.6 if you don't take the 40-50k 1&2 star ratings into account. Objectively the only things you can complain about the show are SO SO nitpicky you already lost the argument complaining about this stuff.
Don't worry dude, studies have been shown that the emotional pain one feels for a character they enjoy in a game, show, or even movie can be equated to that of losing an actual loved one or friend. OBVIOUSLY this depends on the person and it might not be to the same degree, but nonetheless it just means our attachments to them aren't unwarranted and are natural.
This anime is a work of art. And I can understand those who don't consider it as such, but they can't deny that it's a roller coaster of emotions and that this show takes us from one emotion to another with a great force that we can't control. The characters are very good, the story and the plot are very, very well developed, that's why it reaches us in such a profound way.
Shinzo wo Sasageyo! for Commander Erwin.. history won't forget you🔥🔥🔥 Floch : 'I thought to myself that he ought to taste more of this hell. And then... I understood. The only one who can lay waste to the Titans... is a devil!"✊
Yeah, this show has really affected so many people very deeply. I’m a 49 year old man and I get emotional every time I watch certain episodes of this. And ya ain’t seen nothing yet girl!! 😅
18:20, AoT bring ALL feelings out of you. I and I think we, the fans of AoT, we all know that for good.😄 Great to see you are back for another reaction! AoT make you heartbroken and crying because it is epic and bring out ALL of your emotion! The story, the voice actors, the music.....you have something still before you. 😆 It doesn´t matter how you look at the beginning of the show to it: like it or not like it, in the end, believe me, it WILL BE a experience you will never forget!
Everyone cried for armin and erwin but no one cried for my boy berthold he just died alone. I was so sad for erwin he has every piece of respect from me, and bertholdt died too soon 😢
I understand and understand the talent that Armin has, but now what will we do without Erwin? We need a strong and experienced leader. I would have chosen Erwin :c
Hello, could you say that the video is in English? This way the translator translates what you say and not the Japanese audio of the chapter. please. I speak Spanish
We all fell into Isayama 's trap . He gave us hope and then abruptly took it away . Why did Levi choose Armin ? Forgive me , Erwin fans , but Erwin Smith is a bad , VERY bad person . He 's a great speaker and a mediocre commander . All his "brilliant" plans ended with the corpses of his subordinates, and Erwin did it all not for the sake of saving humanity, but for the sake of his selfish goal, his dream . Unlike Erwin , Armin sacrificed himself and his dream for everyone , Erwin sacrificed everyone for his selfish dream , which he could not give up until the end . We were shown a flashback with Kenny for a reason. I'm not saying Erwin is a villain, but he's not a hero.
You are wrong. Erwin was thinking he was a bad person. But he proved time and time again that he laid his own life on the line equally, or even more than the rest. He was a man of action (unlike Armin who is 100% passive during the entirety of season 4). He made and executed the plan to take out the Rod Reiss titan (The biggest Titan ever, with zero casualties). He overthrough the government (with zero casualties). Erwin was indirectly grooming Armin to become a more leading figure. Erwin realized the potential of so many characters (most importantly Levi and Armin) and put them in position of power. If you are going to go by the logic of lifes lost, don't forget that Armins plan to block the gate (in season 1, a little after the Eren titan reveal) they lost 30% of the soldiers. It's also exclusivly thanks to Erwin that humanity on the Island isn't wiped out by an enemy they didn't even know existed. Without Erwin, they would never reach the truth in time. Another note, people call Erwin selfish. But if he was selfish, then Eren and Armin is at the very least as selfish, given they joined because they wanted to see the outside world. When did Erwin ever "sacrifice everyone" for his selfish dream?
How is Erwin a mediocre commander? He was such a good speaker that he was able to leas the soldiers into their deaths to execute his last plan. He came up with so many genius plans. What are you talking about?
I see it as Erwin was willing to sacrifice anything for his dream, even himself and humanity's future and Armin was ready to sacrifice his dream for his friends and humanity's future. In the end Erwin declined the seringe because he choose to sacrifice his dream just like Armin. Well this is what I get from this EP. Aot is a masterpiece and still hurts to rewatch it.
Apparently, the va for the English version of Erwin never watched or read any attack on Titan after this episode. He was so committed to the character that he said “if Erwin doesn’t get to find out what’s in the basement, I don’t get to find out either”
Yep. I wouldn't do what he did but I fully respect he did it
bro is missing out lmao
@purpleemerald5299 not really, Ervin doesn't come back in the slightest in season 4.
@purpleemerald5299 "It took off"
@purpleemerald5299 Ah I see you mean there... that's a good point, guess he DID have to come back for that
This reaction should be used in a commercial for that waterproof mascara, it did very well 😂

The music and Erens tears as they pull Armin out in that last frame. Absolute perfection.
EVERYONE's tears as they pull Armin ❤

This anime really made some memories, that I will always remember for the rest of my life. It's so good.
This is genuinely the best 3 episodes in fiction, and unironically AOT has another 3 episode stretch in S4 that is right up here.

in this episode you can notice that there is no narration because armin is still unconscious and the narrator is armin’s voice actor

Through out the show it always seems like Mikasa really only cares about Erin.
But here we see her cry out for Armin.
