Tom isn’t that great, he constantly forgets he has children and puts his own needs before anyone else’s, he disregard his own wife’s feelings just to pump another baby in her when he knows how much she never wanted any more kids got mad at her when she had a hard time connecting with her baby and when he was going through the same thing because of something he wanted it becomes her fault. I’m not saying Lynette is better character than Tom cause there about the same but when it comes down to it Women will always be held to a higher standard then men. She is controlling but Tom says himself he likes that she does that because he wants to be liked. One of the examples that Tom kinda of sucky husband: Lynette had cancer and they made the audience think her thinking of her cancer is bad thing and Tom’s feelings need to nurtured ; The whole ordeal when Tom was going through a midlife crisis and Lynette was being really open minded about it but when he thought it was such a good idea to take his kids out school and put them on the road and got mad her and called her buzzkill; When Tom was jobless and decided to open a pizza shop which is pretty hard to do but got mad at her for doing a simpler catering option. Tom isn’t a good husband or father during the Renee ordeal he refused to tell Lynette about it even though she right to know. He constantly puts his feelings over his wife and wants to have sex with her even though he knows how she feels when she tired. In conclusion stop supporting this type of “nice guy” it just how much of person you are and it’s not a good person

Lynette can be annoying, possessive and jealous; but I always thought her and Tom's relationship was the best and most healthy in the series. In a way, (maybe it's how the actor portrayed him, sorry forget his name) he almost goes along with it? He loves Lynette and all her ways. Apart from this season 🙁 he always adores her.

He didn't allow her to do this in this season. in this season she was over controlling, to first push him Into a job he didn't initially want by deceiving him with 'Carlos expensive car', redecorating his office against his wishes, and overreacting to his holiday surprise.. She is as a wife emasculating.
I didn’t like Lynette in season 7 or half of season 8. But let’s not pretend that Tom was a saint either. Tom acted very selfishly throughout the entire series. Only towards the end did they both realize how much they love each other. That’s when they got back together and truly cherished each other.
