An enjoyable experience. The question is, is MUX significantly smoother in the road than DMAX?

Market leader in safety design with a huge leap up in passenger safety cell technology with the addition of the boron alloy structure, central airbags, I would only put my family in the safest vehicle.

Not sure about the choice of vehicle. With all the mods planned the 2800kg GVM limit will be hit quite quickly. Any plans for a GVM upgrade to allow towing or carrying more than 2 passengers?

The payload around 670kg? Guess it depends on what he wants. Probably need a suspension lift anyway which Fulcrum have a prototype for now so no doubt GVM package isn't far off or already available. For a bullbar, snorkel, winch etc the payload will have plenty left in it. If he wants scrub bars, rear bars, drawers etc then it might be closer to payload limits. But then again he might be planning solo adventures only.
I love it how people comment on the MUX's GVM, it's not much different to a Prado at 2950 and the Payload difference is negligible. All SUV's face into this issue.
      What should he have bought?

@@Portyhouse New 2022 MUX payload is 615kg-665kg depending on model which if towing its maximum 3500kg as specced(10% Ballweight) leaves 265kg-315kg for passengers, gear and any accessories like bar work and roof racks. The better option is a Land Rover Defender.

@@cwgolfandtravel wouldn’t the 10% ball weigh only apply if he had a 3.5 tonne van on the back?

@@Portyhouse Clearly you didn't read what I posted. The MUX is not designed for anything other than transporting the kids to sports. When loading it up with accesories, payload disappears quickly.

@@cwgolfandtravel Yeah you see heaps of land rovers in the bush LOL. Go check out Patriot Games channel, he's just taken an upgraded MUX onto the track with quite a few accessories, towing his X1 camper with his whole family in the back and gear in the boot. If he's impressed so am I. Even with most accessories you'd be stupid to still think you can still tow a 3.5 van legally. Go check out 4WD 24/7 and check out the Izuzu Ute on every video. These cars are more than capable, safe and built to last. At that price that's a great pic and can't wait to see the upgrades!
