Strong work to all of these Breaking Crews, from all around the world. Personally I am hoping that The United States of America brings home the Gold. But I am absolutely thrilled by the fact that something that I loved and lived (and sometimes got harassed and arrested for) to do in the 1980's is now an Olympic sport competition, with teams from all over the world Seriously strong work, and good luck to you all.
I’m really glad they added this to the Olympics. Similar to the newer addition of skateboarding these sports take lots of work and are done by very skilled individuals.
I’m so proud of you sunny !!!!!! ❤❤
Wild it took this much decades regards breakin requires upper and core strength to perform, notably how breakin is as collective as sksteboard.
Combine Olympic Gymnastics with Breakdancing= epic event. 👍
This is a highly athletic display requiring body control strength, flexibility and timing
good for them
My instinct is to say that I don’t think dance should be in the Olympics. Gymnastics and figure skating involve dance but also separate purely athletic skills (saltos, jumps, etc).
Unless you can make a really objective code of points with an assigned difficulty for each move, which is how they’ve made gymnastics less subjective…but I think plain dance styles are different. I agree that dance is an art more than a sport.
I see what u are saying .. but there is athletics involved heavily
Did you not just see all that athletic skill? And that’s just from one video😂
Good ol Hip Hop.
Good ol APROPREATION!

I guess you could say that. But the fact that an element of hip hop is going to be an Olympic event is so dope to me.
Prison culture stinks !!
Electronica. 😎

Breaking news !!!
I disagree regarding the negative comments....very difficult to execute this incredible moves. Why dont you try it before you blurt out your negative spew.
Then participate in Dancing Competitions
Also many skateboarding manuevres. Doing a triple heel flip to board slide is not easy.
@@mrinal8169Try skateboarding
Sunny Choi. Watch her work the body and wind up with a medal.
If I can still smoke 420 before Paris 2024 and during Paris 2024 and represent breakdancing for Thailand. Many people have to take drug tests for Paris 2024
These guys were not even born when break dancing was out.
It will be like Disco was in the Grammy awards which only lasted one year-- break dancing will only last one or two Olympic years.
Why do you think that though? Break dance big battles have been occurring and bring crowds who pay, annually. Don't see how it will fail at Olympics imo
Im only going to watch the Olympics if Crazy Legs is competing.
From my understanding he may be a judge. He’s a little too seasoned to compete, at least at this level.
@@dezzy_yates It would be dope if he gets a chance to be a judge. The Olympics could use a wise legend like himself.
Breakdance is a dance/art not a sport.
They keep cheapening them every time.
it's both tbh, breakdance practice is some serious athletic stuff it ain't no Zumba..
it should be permanent in the olympics, I don't think that will take the artistic part out of it.
jst learned that this was an olym hahaha pic sport.....i mean i respect their dance moves but there is so many other sport that requires talent which could have been add instead of break dancing haha
This dance/art form is called “B-boying” or “B-Girling”. I guess no one’s gonna correct the media heads when they call it “breakdancing” huh?
Capoiera.🤔
They are sticking with its original name, there wud be no B-boying or B-girling without Breakdancing first.
They got rid of baseball and added this 🙄
Baseball is boring.. They should add an exciting sport like Aussie Rules Football.
@@GabrielNavarro-bo7st Many countries and millions of people disagree
@@theamazinghippopotomonstro9942 Your username is probably the most bizarre username I have ever seen. Stroopwaffels are excellent by the way.
Breaking news.
I thought breakdancing w/o with high top shoes.
Lol
Breakdacing may have been created by the blacks and Puerto Ricans from New York, but TODAY, the Koreans are by far the masters of the "movement." They've adopted it, and became better at it.
Boy you is tripped out.
Compare two dancers from the 60s and 70s day look like amateurs.
I've been around a long time and I've seen way better break dancers then the ones featured in this clip.
The kidd says "the Koreans have mastered breakdancing."
With those moves....
That is laughable.

@@CyberThug1080i Reality is that South Korean, Japan and France have won most world titles in bboying breakdancing. Anf Breakdance/Bboying exists since the 70s not the 60s
GO HOME
They make anything an Olympic sport nowadays huh
True. It becomes more cheapened each go around.
They should add the sport of Jai Alai. It's becoming more popular in Florida.
@@taroman7100At least they added Lacrosse. It's a great sport.
I don't think break dancing is an Olympic sport It's definitely an art but not Olympic territory what's next tap dancing???
olympic level fidget spinners
Mimes?
Try break dancing at a high level, then tell me how easy it was
Maybe goat roping?
What's next? BMX flatland competitions in the Olympics?
Sport?? Don't make me laugh.
I hope real hip-hop comes back. sick and tired of these devil worshipping rap artists.
Why don't they just play death metal at the events?
Why is this Asian guy talking about black history breakdancing is our culture these culture vultures are annoying
Yeah, I was just talking to the Wu-Tang Clan about this the other day at PF Chang's...
@@blackrobb1972 Yeah I'm really tired of all the gangsters getting asian tattoos, culture vultures only work one way I guess
Yeah, culture vultures annoy me. Thank god Bruce Leroy from the Last Dragon was born in Hong Kong.
l.h.tnguyen:”Shonuff”😅😅
I can't help but feel some type of mixed feelings about this.
I remember back in the early 80s Black kids were breaking (dancing)
They tried to get it entered in the Olympics years ago.
The power at be refused. We know why they wouldn't allow it.
Now we have non black people in the Olympics doing break dancing that started in the black culture.
This is not a sport. Should not be in Olympics
Curling shouldn't be either
🥱
Skating is a joke for olympic too
Aussie Rules Football should be in the Olympics
@@SUGAR_XYLERThey could add the Irish sport of Hurling hockey. It is brutal.
Embarrassing.
Its should be black americans representing our country in this event as this is OUR CULTURE.. this is so disrespectful
There is an Olympic Qualifier. If not a single black American qualifies, that's on them.
@@scorpioninpink because they DONT KNOW ABOUT IT. This isn't advertised/marketed to black Americans. The vast vast majority don't even know this exists in the Olympics. Get your own history and culture in sick and tired of others trying to piggyback. There is no reason why an Asian should be sitting up here trying to tell black history. It's pure disrespect and racism
Hip hop artists sampling Kraftwerk songs. Kraftwerk from Germany. 🤨
@maurizioone5940 Black Americans have moved on. Usually, the world criticizes our arts at the moment, but then catches on decades later. By the time everyone else has caught on, we've introduced many different things. Also, at least credit is being given. It's usually not.
Bruh ask them why they not doing better 😂😂😂
Next Olympics: competitive Minecraft 🙄
This is not even a sport. Like seriously? You put this into the Olympics and not something like inline speed skating.
attend a practice session and you'll understand why it's a sport.
and inline speed skating isn't as entertaining to watch tbh
They should have added bodyboarding. Its like tobaggon surfing.
@@aiightbet4582Maybe they will add Formula One racing in the future
This world is in the toilet. What are these kids going to do for a living after rolling around on the ground?
whatever their in-sect overlords tell them to
Just preparing the minds of our youth to get used to doing meaningless activities to pass their time throughout their lives as the government does everything else for them.
🤣 I'll call them when I need my floors buffed
Not much of an argument. What do the gymnasts and figure skaters and soccer players and runners do for a living? Sports and games aren't meant to be a living. Anyone who wants their "job" to be kicking a ball around is just plain lazy and selfish. I do like Sugar's idea of using the breakdancers as floor buffers, though!
@@stephencoldbear “lazy” lol as if it’s not incredibly competitive and takes high physical effort.
