I find it interesting that throughout the episode you can see they like go back in time to weapon of choice from guns to swords to bow and arrows and finally to spears.
I loved this episode as we weren't focusing on the heroes for once, it was the first episode to have characters speaking entirely in English, and it had Charles Darwin.
If you look back they made fun of Charles on his theory but of all of them darlington is the closest to that theory. His collection proves it. Taxidermy primal creatures like the saber tooth, bones, weapons from different era and he was really into boxing when he was in his prime. He acts proper but deep down and back then he admires the savagery/brute strength.
Can't tell you how many people, self-included... have said 'And there you have it' Moment before Darwin did... and got a fucking laugh out of it. Just, perfect timing.
Check out "Primal: Lab Explosion." It's a short promotional animation that adult swim released. It seems to imply that this guy is in fact a descendant of Spear with the DNA it shows.
Can I just say I genuinely would like to talk to Nate, like I enjoy watching their content on this channel, and I feel stupid for not always being subbed but I am now. Primal is awesome and it's because of these guy's reactions I want to watch it myself. But I would actually like a chance to talk to or meet these guys because, you guys are just absolutely amazing
3:50.. if so it’d be very confusing how history literally repeats itself just having the existence of magic, actual celestial entities, dinosaurs and numerous monsters. I mean with Vikings and such building settlements taking slaves from nearby regions, worshiping the same entities like Zeus and Surtur and thats just them. (Won’t say other thing cause i dare not spoil anything) tho my theory is just this world is an alternative reality where every monster and legend written down actually exists as civilization is stuck in their primitive ages.
My guess would be that this is the same world and Charles's primal theory is playing/played out, but at different levels based on hardship (for humans going back anyway). His theory is that it requires stressors after all. In Spear's homeland the fauna is a LOT more deadly than what we've seen in Moira's/the Vikings/Celts. There was the one dinosaur, but other than him the worst has been easily dispatched bears. There were less stressors from the environment itself and so the people reverted less. You can apply this the other direction to some of the ape people we've seen. In the bat episode those ape people were markedly less modern than even spear and they had to deal with the seemingly nightly threat of the bats.
I love this episode. Not just because it's a dialogue breather but because it is proving a point about why Fang and Spear killed every Viking in the village. They tried to get out of the situation but the vikings just kept going at them. So they resort to a blind rage like state to survive. The same state Darlington taps into to defeat the escaped inmate.
Great episode reaction guys but an unrelated question, how many pets to you guys have? because it seems like you have multiple dogs and cats, also may I just say I completely agree with your opinion on dealing with that kind of evil.
I just wanna get my thought is does not play take place in primal world this takes place in our time in our universe the reason they’re doing this is to show that what spear and fang go through can happen to anyone
SPOILER FREE CONTENT WARNING ⚠️ FOR THE NEXT EPISODE. There is a scene (you know when it happens) that got some people grossed out, while other are ok with it. I don't know how you gonna react to it, but I'm still giving you a heads up.
I'm not gonna try to convince you that evil doesn't exist, just maybe not in the sense you think. I personally believe that good and evil exist as ideas that we as a society attribute to moral or immortal actions. To say that all human actions are influenced by outside forces would mean no human is ever responsible for their own actions. This is just an assumption, but being that you are Christian, I would assume you see good and evil as tangible forces in the universe that influence people's decisions. That's where I'd disagree with you.
Apparently this was a proof of concept episode. Genndy said that once Spear and Fang’s story is over, he’d like to make Primal an anthology
Cool
I find it interesting that throughout the episode you can see they like go back in time to weapon of choice from guns to swords to bow and arrows and finally to spears.
This makes wanna see Genndy do a Sherlock Holmes series. Just imagine a special episode based Hound of the Baskerville.
This. I want to see Primal’s art style in more modern settings. It looks *really* good.
Yes, I would like to see him do the old universal monsters too. Dracula, Werewolf etc.
@Mo Jamma I’m all for this.
One Discombobulated
Or a Tarzan series based off the original books. So much action, so little dialogue. It’d be perfect!
I loved this episode as we weren't focusing on the heroes for once, it was the first episode to have characters speaking entirely in English, and it had Charles Darwin.
Yea I was definitely a surprise after last episode. But a welcome one.
I just realized it as read it !
You just made this episode even cooler for me, thanks for that.

They said it's not him but an inspiration of him but come on. This is an alternate version of Charles Darwin 😏

In the cronology of primal
Nice detail

I wouldn’t be surprised if this older guy was spear’s descendant
Or it is Spear, but cursed with immortality by the Horned King and he loses his mind because he lived so long.
@@Sirvikrail hmm, that's an interesting theory but we'll see
@@Sirvikrail if it was spear why I wonder, why did he freak out like that when he saw blood

The theory of primal taking place in the future actually makes sense
As we still don’t know how the plague of madness came to be
You can never take the wild out of man!
9:00 weird how boxing back them looked way cooler then it does now.
LMAO! I called the inmate “Killer Croc” too when I saw this episode! 🤣
3:04 The constable is voiced by Aaron LaPlante, Spear's voice actor. FYI. 😀

Lord Darlington is Spear's distant descendant if you didn't know

I love watching this awesome show! Hope it does not get cancelled!
Funniest bottle episode I’ve seen in years!
I've noticed the more advanced or modern the weapon is, the less effective it is against the savage

I kinda wanna see more episodes like this.
To throw an idea idea Grenadine tartar sauce’s Samuwhich Jack 0:49

Did anyone else notice how the madman moved, sounded and acted a little bit like Spear? Except the cannibalism obviously.
I just wanna get my thought is does not play take place in primal world this takes place in our time in our universe the reason they’re doing this is to show that what spear and fang go through can happen to anyone
2:00 here we go.
In layman's terms, Id say that Mister Darwin's Primal theory was correct.
You look like if dark side phil was actualy a col dude.
By the way nolga is back to his Pokémon addiction
This episode kind of feels like something that would fit in Love Death + Robots. That's not necessarily a bad thing though.
Bendyleg cucumber
zombie argentinosaurus
Apparently that was Charles Darwin.
