  • After 12 years of creating written content for my www.fishingfiend.net blog this is the first video I've created, (and hopefully the first of many more).
This vlog is about the fishing I got up to on a recent family holiday to Cornwall, and contains clips showing me fishing in Millendreath, St Michaels Mount, and finally in Hayle Cornwall as Storm Ellen closed in and put an end to the fishing.

Followed ya link over from WSF! Good report, and lovely to see the kids out with ya on the boat! We're fairly local to Millendreath, and used to love going down there a few years back, but it got over commercialised, and the last few times we were down there, we got the strong impression the locals weren't welcome. Someone also said they had banned beach fishing recently too. Hope you had a great holiday, and a safe trip home! 👍👍

You are correct.. they have banned beach fishing... though I don't know how they can as they only own land above the high tide line... is it worth the hassle of arguing the point???.. plenty of other places to fish in peace and quiet

@@fishing-fiend I agree - their loss. If you drove down there to fish and argued the point, you'd probably come back & find your car clamped or something! Seaton around the corner is nice but not seen much caught there.

@@trampster7306 There were guys fishing off the end of the breakwater every evening I was there. Obviously when the kayak and SUP rental shop is open they are kicking people off, as soon as they go home then its fish o clock..... on saying that I didn't see anyone catch anything off the breakwater for the entire week i as there -- maybe it fishes better after dark
