- Here's one for the collectors! In this video I run a roll of film through what might be the oldest camera I've ever shot with - The Balda Super Baldina. This is a German made 35mm film camera from the 1950s. It requires a bit of focus to get used to shooting if you're more familiar with standard SLRs. Let's check it out!
Thanks for watching!

I found 1 of these in my collection. It is very bright & easy to rangefinder focus with the bright yellow circle. Decent f2.8. Takes 35.4mm screw in or 1-1/2” press on filter adapter
Cool to hear you are enjoying using yours, and you're very right about that yellow circle. Are you using any filters with yours?
@@dancrowderphotography8123 yes, it uses the Kodak screw in no.61 (35.4mm) or can use the slip on 1-1/2”(38.1mm) & I used the series VI polarizer & various color filters for tungsten & daylight slide film or a yellow orange purple green for B&W
I just got one of these Super Baldina’s …. It is a but figgidy, compared to more modern cameras, but it’s a nice design, well made, and I like all my Balda cameras!
Thanks for the review!
The film advance may be slow because of the cold?!
I do think the cold is affecting the camera, it's kind of like stress testing it here in Montreal
What compact vintage digital camera do you recommend for someone with a budget of $60?
Hi!
With that budget, I'd be searching pawn shops and online marketplaces, maybe even garage sales. I'd try to find one that works with a common media card like SD, and that takes easily replaceable batteries like AA or AAA.
@@dancrowderphotography8123 thanks for the info brother, I will do exactly that!
Si ta besoin de caméras a review je commence a avoir une bonne collection
