- We were asked to write a song for this year’s Academy Awards…
Unfortunately, it wasn’t chosen because it was “financially and logistically impossible”, so for fun we thought we’d share the rough storyboards of what would have been a fully shot, star-studded
music video of exorbitant cost.
All vocals and visuals are temp, so please use
your imagination and enjoy!

Honesty, Chris should win the Best Chris Oscar. I mean Chris and Chris are both great, but I feel like Chris has more range. Chris is not really my cup of tea, though I think he and Chris would be great in a movie together. Chris just cannot act, sorry. Compare him to Chris, or hell even Chris! This year the Oscars have a new category this year called "Academy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Film" - which is pretty much this. This video should be played right before they announce the winner.

This is, in my opinion, one of the best opening songs!! It points out the problems exactly and at the same time made that problems not so critically serious that everyone can enjoy and notice them, but not offended. How clever way and how 'lonely islandly' they handled the issue!! So very impressed!!!

I don't believe for a second that this would be logistically and financially impossible. More likely they 1. HATE being criticized and made fun of like this (Why do you think there were no jabs at the moonlight debacle this year?) and 2. They dispose giving attention to movies that are "Not oscar worthy." Hell, the older members hit the roof when get out was included for best picture.

also, it's not like the oscars movie don't like being criticized. That's totally not it.
Chris Hemsworth has done Thor parodies, dressed as Thor before. Character rights don't come into it when parody law exists. The actors would have taken base SAG salaries too, probably. Literally the only issue would have been logistics since it would be hard to get all these actors in the same place at once.
Also it would require Fassbender to be self aware
