Hey it’s me! Thank you Jeff for the shout out. It’s always a blast seeing you at Intelli. Hopefully this next season I can send footage with us in the same race 🤞
If only teams understood how to cat up together . Like have one guy win one race and then help another guy win another . Then everyone upgrades around the same time.
Jeff, that Thai basil is going to seed, it’s called bolting. Pro tip when it starts to flower cut that part off. Herbs that have bolted are no good. Also you should get the covers for the empty slots otherwise a ton of algae will grow in your system!
9:00 just out of interest a question for the keen eyed: Is that really a pedal clipping the tarmac here? To me it looks like his right foot is up when the rear tyre goes into understeer / is sliding out - could it be an impulse due to sudden load changing creating that "hop"?
I know a lot of these apex guys, they have built a great team over the last few years and dominate races in the midwest. Chris is now a cat 1 i believe and can put down some absolutely insane power. When he is in town and shows up to a club group ride you always know its going to be fast.
Category 2/3/4/5 bike racers shouldn’t be trying to race as teams. When they get together after the race at Burger King or the taco truck, they should each be telling their own hero story about how they did in the race. Not a debrief on a failed, bullshit, criterium team lead out and how they can do better next time…

It's really hard to ride as a team in the lower categories because no one wants to sacrifice their own chance of getting upgrade points.

Every single person in a cat5 field is trying to win the race. Recipe for disaster.

6:10 that custom Waterford is 🔥🔥🔥
Chase ROCKS!!
It's always so weird watching this channel and seeing team kits I've raced against.
The lower categories hardly use team tactics due to mostly having to pay their own entry fees etc. Pro,1&2 races have the tactics we all know so well.
Jeff. Will there be a day when you review world tour sprints and maybe compare the tactics on local or national level

Thats a nice looking course. Not your typical 4 corner
Maybe nice shape but it looks like an awful course for racing: just too narrow.
Corners also stretch things out and make it safer. Cornerless crits are often crashfests.

He's always been a non-factor when I've raced with him this year.
Great race again! Would love to talk through one of my gravel races one time

Long live the rim brakes.
