It hits even more when Lucy remembers David in the moon just as the normal boy he was at the beginning, no implants and still an organic human.
No implants!? Cybernetic eyes & brain?
@@derekjermain Well, even with that Maine considered him "organic", like he has less implants than at the end. That's what I meant.
tbh, that was the best form of David, as soon as I saw that in part two of the anime he was full of chrome, I knew that we were not going to have the innocent and rebellious david from before, this shit it got even worse and sadder
The ending got me 😔. You know what's a unique thing about this anime? The sadness that lies in-between the lines. If you compare this to an older movie with a similar ending, the Titatnic move for example, you will find that they displayed the ending in a sad way using sad music and what not. Here, the music in the background never changed of being the hype music of Cyberpunk yet it didn't affect the emotional damage, a true masterpiece! In the Titanic movie, however, the sadness in the ending isn't hidden between the lines, it is instead represented very clearly.
@@derekjermain Him and his sandavistan is still kinda organic compared to whatever the fuck he turned himself into post Maine death

This fucking quote hit me so damn hard since I really wished that David and Lucy would be getting an happier ending. Same for Dorio and Maine. The city of dreams... Yeah right... 🥲
David helped Lucy accomplish her dream but at the same time he didn’t. The original “I want to go to the moon” dream died as soon as she fell for him and became going to the moon with HIM. So you can’t even consider this ending bittersweet,it’s just plain depressing…
Exactly.
That's one way looking at it but that's your opinion
that "i want to go to the moon" was a wish from lucy but for david was the promise he make "i will make U go to the moon"
Should have gotton another babe theres billions out there you know
@@necromelodia2432 not one of em is david. I hope she dies single for ma boi david man, he's waiting for her wherever he is.
I love how, once their relationship became canon, David and Lucy's romance became a lot more low-key. You don't see them constantly fawning over each other or fighting, but everything they did was dedicated to protecting or helping the other. Lucy spending the entire relationship trying to keep David out of Arasaka's claws, and David fighting off cyberpsychosis and risking the lives of himself and his crew to save Lucy. And in the end, all that mattered to him was keeping his promise and fulfilling her dream, even if it means she had to do it without him. That's true love right there.

Hits like a fucking truck when Lucy remembers David and in the blink of an eye he's not longer there.
That feeling of remembering a great moment you had with a beloved one and suddently remember there are not longer with us it is just one of the most painful things.

Literally binged the entire season in 1 sitting, I got gripped hard by it ngl. This is what I always wanted, feels like the anime did so much to flesh out the massive setting that is cyberpunk. I really hope trigger comes back to do more animated cyberpunk. I literally have the game redownloading to play the new edgerunner patch as well.
After watching, it became clear how unforgiving and brutal night city really is. The anime solidifies the fantasy of the city. The sweetest thing is, you as the viewer, is enticed on the sweetness of love and hope, and was beautifully crushed by the city in the end. It's not adam smasher's fault, it's the city.
Almost makes you want to burn it all down. Everyone works so hard to live only to be crushed by Night City in the end. It's infuriating.

You could see the ending coming a mile away...and yet, it STILL hit me like a bullet through the heart. It was genuinely sad to see David's transformation and knowing where it would inevitably end up, but I couldn't stop rooting for him. The music choices in this series was phenomenal, the animation leapt out of the screen - even the parts where it went cartoony for comedic effect - I seriously wish it had like 5 episodes more just to flesh out some of the story. Immediately one of my favorite series of 2022. Here's hoping we get to see more stories from Night City.
It is because the show does a good job of giving you hope while simultaneously showing you the reality that there isn't.
The intro pretty much foreshadowed the ending david walking with a crased look 9n his face and getting shot in the head is exactly what happened
@@Tywil714 thats what made it great. Even the BD producer made him relive it. David was getting manipulated from the start.
@@Tyrantofthewind Lucy ironically became the hope though. Everyone else died and David specifically so that she could go out and see her dream, breaking through the cycle of a cyberpunk, completing their dreams and living the normal lives they always wanted. There were sacrifices but there was a light on the end of the tunnel. Lucy right now stands as the hope for the cyberpunks that if you try hard enough, there's always a way
I haven't watched this anime but from all the clips and stuff I've heard, that's what I get
I think it's fitting that it felt fast....just like how David lived.
You don't make a name as a Cyberpunk by how you live, you're remembered by how you die.
that sentence is absolutely right
Here's the thing: Johnny, David and Lucy all prove this quote wrong. For Johnny, he was remembered as a rockerboy instead of a terrorist (before you say anything, do you really think Johnny was the only person Arasaka hushed up?). David is remembered in game as a legend, he even has a drink in the Afterlife. As for Lucy, she remembers the David before the cyberware, not when he was a legend.
The point is, I think the whole point of Cyberpunk is that we shouldn't rush our lives. Living in the moment can be fun, but it only lasts for a moment.
@@duncanw5644 I guess you could say that the David before Cyberware was her legend, seeing as that is the version of him that she remembered.
@@duncanw5644 Bingo. Cyberpunk is a world of Style Over Substance, but Maximum Mike really wants to drive it home to people that Substance Over Style is what really matters.
@@HuevoBendito hit the nail right on the head, a city so full of bright and amazing things that can give us the rush whenever we want, but in the end what trully matters is living being the best "us" we can be
Even though we knew David’s story would come to an end, we all still hoped for something different.
The moment I saw Smasher in show, I knew it wont end well. Sadge.
It’s Night City choom no other way it could end unless your V who makes mince meat of Adam Smasher
@@K6mil the way they animated him sitting there menacingly, I knew the show had no happy endings
And that is the hard part to pull off in these sort of limited stories. CDPR and Trigger made a masterpiece.
i knew too, especially knowing Edgerunners takes place before the game, there was no way Smasher was going to be defeated. Even before that, I knew David wasn't going to make it. It's Night City after all, but seeing him become who he was in the show and his relationship with Lucy, I really felt like there could be a small chance there was a positive ending... how naive I was to believe that. So fucking sad, but goddamn what a great fucking ending and of course, a great anime.
The fact that David doesn't fade out of the shot. He just disappeared. No dramatic effects. He's just there one second, and gone the next.
😂 yea, i felt like they forgot that effect mock up 🙃
@@jazendanke3609I actually think the abruptness is a good reminder that Night City is a horrible place and that people can be taken from you in a flash.
This ending is so sad yet so beautiful at the same time. Lucy finally achieves her dream of going to the moon, but instead of being happy she feels empty and depressed. She sees David and remembers the times they had together on the moon BD, only to be brutally reminded that he is no longer with her and that she is now completely alone. But despite this, she takes a deep breath and lets herself feel the sun, knowing that David wouldn't have wanted her to feel sad, and opening herself to the possibility of being truly happy. Showing that there is hope in even the darkest of situations.
The end credits make it even more depressing, but better, with her trying to cope in the immediate aftermath of his death just to breakdown, only to then look up to the moon with the realization that she has to go to fulfill David's dying wish
At which point david is still DEAD, and she will start going into depression and god knows what comes next. Bro she loved him more than her life
Funfact- V gets David's jacket in the game which means Lucy didn't even get to keep his jacket.
@@AXCBERSo she's the one giving V the jacket, I don't know why and what for, probably to leave the memories of the past about the David and start a new life, Falco says in the game that "we" lay low, but watched V and decided to make a gift from one cyberpunk to another cyberpunk, it's unlikely Falco could find information about V, so at the moment of receiving David's jacket, the probability is that Lucy herself gives it to us through Falco, she also found information about V, because she's netrunner
Knew this was gonna end badly but man it hurts to see. Now poor Lucy is all alone.
Well I haven’t seen the series nor played the game but I saw in this clip lol hey kissed so could of they made a kid?
@@Anonymous-jj9yu if she is, she’s better off leaving night city to give that kid a chance
@@neofulcrum5013 she’s in space In the end is she not
The part where she sees David and dissapears, she has cyberpsychosis, she eventually joins David
Yeah. Even the trailers are like, “The only thing that matters for a cyberpunk is how spectacular their death is.”
The kid did what he set out to do....he was on borrowed time the moment he put on the exoskeleton. But he shook the halls of power, and it took Arasaka's best to take down that cyberpunk. One could also theorize that in a twisted way he even earned Adam Smasher's respect.... Which is why Smasher blew his brains out instead of letting Arasaka create a construct off of him and have Martinez on a leash for eternity....like Smasher himself is. ((And if you think the Corp doesn't have another backup of him somewhere after he got killed in game....choom, I have some GREAT real estate in Pacifica to sell you.))
fuck i never thought of that, i figured he'd still be alive in someway, never really thought about the damn construct angle (dunno how) fully expecting him to appear in another cyberpunk story somewhere, maybe his construct (or plot twist the one we killed was a construct) will end up fighting Morgan Blackhand, feel like we cheaply took that rivalry away a bit tbh.
@Mr. Hole supposedly there is...they're going to open it up just in time to reintroduce the Bozos. There goes the neighborhood.
That's definitely respect. He was willing to spare Johnny who he hated just so he could be soul killed by Arasaka.
Like giving your opponent the honor and privilege to die. Or maybe because he felt like, David could really impose as a futuristic threat if they did create a construct of him. Awesome take on it man! Thanks for sharing!
@@FoxYinnyy I don't think Adam Smasher viewed anyone as a threat. The closest he considered anyone to even rivaling him was Blackhand. It's kinda like the Relationship Madara had with Hashirama when it came to beef. Blackhand wanted no smoke because he felt that was a waste of time, and Smasher always wanted smoke with Morgan cause he kept blowing him off
That final shot of Lucy just so bittersweet. She finally reached her dream of going to the moon, but at the cost of her loved ones. At least she's happy that David's wish was fulfilled as she bathes in the lunar sunlight.
No. Her dream wasn't that for a long time. Before she met David? Sure. Afterwards it washe for David to live and for them to be happy together.
Her dream was not achieved. It's funny in a twisted way, he died to achieve her old dream but her current dream was for him to live.

Are you dreaming bud? Did you even watch the show? She loves david more than her own self. She was ready to sacrifice absolutely anything just to live a long lige with him. She almost loved him as much as his mom did. And now he’s just dead. The last bit where lucy was on the moon was absolutely confusing for me. Like what the fuck did the writers want us to feel? They were one of the best love stories i have seen in anime history for the frist half of the show then everything starting going to absolutely poop in a shithole. I just fucking cant
The way she feels horrified that David isn't really there with her in the moon hits too hard. And for her worn out eyes as she closes them to bask in the radiating sunlight, attempting to enjoy the fulfilled dream that David helped her achieve. It's so heart-breaking, I only wished David hadn't been consumed by Night City and lived a quiet life with Lucy...
Same here. Wish they could’ve had a different ending, instead of this fuckin depression
Totally agree. If he and Lucy just didn't get more involved with Faraday, they could just live quietly and peacefully.
The show was unexpectedly so goddamn good, the music, sfx, animation everything was on point.
Props to trigger for pulling this up without any delay.
Gainax and the successor Trigger always the best, but often not enough budget
I thought the animation was pretty janky in some spots, and the subtitles were AWFUL, but yeah it was much better than I expected! 8/10!
They even used a lot of in-game music, equipment/weapons and locations… they didn’t have to but it’s pure joy for those of us who played the game extensively and can recognise them
Even better than the game no bugs this time

I just finished the anime. Bro I cried at the scene when she “saw” him with her on the moon.
This episode is depression on "STEROIDS".
You can see the pain in her face
I was expecting a sad ending, the game itself ends bad for the protagonist in some way, and trigger studios aren't new to animating stories with sad endings, still it was a nice story, great animations, great music, and it truly captured the cyberpunk vibe that the game had but with a slight anime twist, also Im more sad Rebecca died, she was my favorite in the show, she really cared for everyone in the show despite her wild nature, her death was abrupt but she had the most balls in the show, she was really brave against Adam Smasher as if he was nothing although a futile effort, Rebecca was like an aggressive loli version of Jackie who also died for their partners

Lucy's character is uplifted by her having the most tragic ending of any Trigger love interest ever. David didn't get Lucy's dream at all. Her dream was to get away from Night City and live with someone she cares about, but David took it literally and thought she just wanted a trip to the moon for kicks and giggles. So not only does David die for the wrong dream but she's left alone without him.
If Lucy elaborated and said the moon was a metaphor, all of the pair's self-sacrifice could've been avoided.
Lucy's original dream was to go to the moon alone and get a fresh start, away from arasaka and night city.
That's exactly what David gave her.
It just costed her heart and his life.
And a shit ton of eddies.
Think you interpreted the situation very wrong. Lucy's dream was always to essentially get away from night city and start over, even before she met David. He died for the dream that she always had.

David's smile and laugh in the last scene is so precious. Such a wholesome boy with a good heart corrupted by a rotten world.
I cannot express how fucking depressed the end of this anime has made me.
David Martinez's story is possibly the Best thing to ever come out of the cyber punk genre, because of how much he grew over such a short time. He went from this kid who was just kind of a punk who had just this lively childish sort of nature to him, to this absolute bad ass in a matter of weeks.
I genuinely think Lucy fell in love with David because of his childish ignorance, and generally the way he acts.
David meant something to everyone and I think his part of the show was not as a protagonist, but as a reminder to everyone in the gang of who they once were.
Maine basically became his dad, showing him how to drive and sitting with him while discussing how he felt about Lucy.
Rebecca after a little, saw him kind of as her brother, but wanted him to be something more, only to never be able to get that as he fell for Lucy.
and Lucy became sort of this guardian figure for him, she wanted to protect him from Arasaka, and live a valuable, genuine life with him.
David had the best story, with Lucy facing the worst ending.
Lucy's dream was to go to the moon with someone, and when she finally found him, she had him ripped away from her arms and taken away from her.

Both loved each other and wanted to live a peaceful life if possible, but misunderstood their ultimate goal. David wanted to fulfill Lucy's wish while Lucy wanted to save David. They never had come to the thought that they both just wanted to live with each other.
Its sad that Lucy is alone up there. I wish David survived so they can be together. 😭
Somebody make a alternative fanmade ending, they deserve each other.
In the Cyberpunk universe after that event, she most likely had mad depression and lonliness.
The ending made me so sad for that exact reason. All she wanted was for David to live...
We NEED a quest in canon where we hand off David’s jacket to her!
It’s a nice cosmetic to have, but it feels wrong that we have it when SHE deserved that last bit of memento of him the most!
They both technically got what they wanted in the end. At first I thought the ending was just bad but I realize that David's main goal was to reach the top of the city in terms of power and respect. Every time he looks at his mothers ashes he remembers what his mom wanted for him before she died, and even though he is hurting himself and pushing away others, he wanted to make her dream come true at any cost. As proof there was that one scene where David is standing on the highest floor of the tallest building in his exoskeleton feeling fulfilled in his moms dream.
Even though both David and Lucy were both pushing towards their goals and finally achieved them, they found new meaning in each other along the way, and realized that the love they had was more important than what both of them initially cared about, but by the time they realized that, they were already too deep into their main objective to live that way. David as well as Lucy had already gotten too deep into cyber technology side effects and organized crime by the time Lucy and David wanted to truly be together. In the end, to make the best of a bad situation, David completed his mothers dream and fulfilled his promise for Lucy's dream to go to the moon by freeing her from the life of crime they put themselves into. If David never got involved, Lucy would have been tied down her whole life as a tool, never being able to achieve her dream, and at the same time, if Lucy never got involved, David would have been suffering his whole life trying to live up to his dead moms impossible dream.
@@CristanioPeweyyy was not the 1st time she was alone, remember her childhood
It was foreshadowed from when he was watching the advertisement for a one person only trip to the moon being cheap, because the two of them wouldn't have ever been able to go.
And the ripper handing him his final meds saying he won’t be back to see him because he knew at David was past the point of no return. He even says “a tale for another dreamer” when David leaves.
The second I seen smasher appear I knew there was no happy ending. The corps always win
It's amazing how quickly a show and it's characters can become loved when you write them and the story properly. Everyone I know is talking about this show now.
Other thing that I love about it is that it's a short story. I find characters to be more impactful personally when they are built well from a short amount of time rather than a longer amount of time.
I finished the series in one night and it ended at 4 am. Just a silence in my home, and man my eyes couldn’t close. This anime hit me right in the feels.
What an amazing anime and experience that was… just wishing it was a bit longer than 10 episodes.
This show was a literal rollercoaster and it never stopped, but that moment Lucy saw David that last time man that gave me a heavy heart
Everyone: Adam Smasher should have been like this in the game.
Me: Damn, V powering up in a couple of weeks went from just being crazy to Dragon Balls levels of absurd.
Im sure Adam smasher was just a little rusty in the game. I mean if he beat one man army David, there's no way a dying V can stand up to him right?
But Adam knew about the weakness of the cyberskeleton so dunno
@@ruiborges6539 A little rusty? The anime takes place one year before the game.
@@venveng Exactly, he got a little rusty in that one year
welcome to studio trigger babey
It hurts to see my boy go from a nobody to a somebody, I was really hoping they'd go to the moon together, but I absolutely loved the art style and animation, story telling, everything, feel bad for Lucy but they did extremely well on this.
When Lucy is on the moon and David disappears and she stops smiling, that hits me hard.
悲しい結末だったけど、いいアニメだった
こういう世界観はTRIGGERがめちゃんこ合う
ナニメ?
This was an amazing show, maybe we get to see Lucy in the game, in a future dlc or something, I feel like if they do make a second season it would be another Edgerunners story to add to there amazing worlds lore, but idk just sounds interesting
So like an anthology series. Like Infinity Train.
@@stephenking5852 ya exactly kind like the so and so Star Wars anime show they have on Disney plus or that love death robots show, but obviously it wouldn’t be different studios making them, since trigger did a great job
Unfortunately Phantom Liberty will be the only DLC but they have said their interested in making more cyberpunk related content
@@Death_true Think we may get a cyberpunk telltale game imo.
@@Death_true Was it confirmed to be the only one? I heard them saying it's the only one planned as of now, doesn't say they won't make another (especially if Phantom Liberty hits good, but still not a guarantee)
Creo que realmente lo que me hizo caer en la mas profunda depresion fue la escena final en la luna, la cara de lucy al ver a david y justo despues desaparecer me parte el alma. Como me hubiera gustado que fuesen los dos juntos a la luna como le prometió....
I think that ending, where she kinda smirks and just bathes in the sun.. really good.
She accepts that David is gone and that she’s free from the world. In the end she got what she wanted, freedom, at the cost of the another thing she wanted, David.
She’s the only one out of the gang with a happy ending, but it’s not even that much of a happy ending (because in night city, there are no happy endings) and that also means she’s literally the only one with it. She’s alone. And the true happy ending with David was always going to be impossible, so the only thing she can really do in the end is go to the moon..
It’s tough man.. she wanted to go to the moon, then it turned to she wanted to go to the moon with David.. but with David would be impossible so she got her dream but not the entirety of it.. Hope that we can get some sort of future information on how she is doing. Hopefully she’s not going psycho and mega depressed, couldn’t stand it if I saw my fav girl in the series, Lucy, like that.
I wish Johnny and David met somewhere in the, well, afterlife where Silverhand congratulates David in doing something he couldn’t…
Saving his girl from Night City
Impossible. Johnny died half a century ago and If you're talking about Johnny the construct, still no since Johnny wakes up a year later when David died.
I mean... I described the afterlife as some kinda dreamed fiction place, so it ain’t supposed to be taken too srsly in logic and practicality
Just figured something like Johnny watched from above seeing David go through hell and back in the city he hates, became a legend and saved the woman he loves 😌
David was just a kid with big dreams 😞ughhhh I’m crying so much now 😭😭
Most real anime I’ve ever seen. Ppl don’t get saved by plot armour. They die where they were supposed to. Just rebecca’s death was the worst like she could’ve jumped. But otherwise one of the best anime I’ve ever seen.
Yeah unlike DBZ shit where death means nothing at all and there’s no stakes. Though plot armor isn’t always that bad sometimes it’s needed to keep the story consistent as long as it’s not overdone.
First and the last episodes really hit home hard. Characters you grew to love were mercilessly gone in a second followed by a pause of disbelief just like in real life.
The fucking Rebecca's death shocked me. That was so sad.
More random than sad for me
Me too! am sad but It was a very stupid decision for me.
rebecca deserved it.
Rebecca was like Jackie from the videogame, and sadly she was exactly like Jackie in a manner that she also dies for her partner
She should have survived and been the one David promised to take Lucy away because she was the one who he asked personally to make sure he doesn't go psycho until he made sure Lucy was safe would of been way better ending and more emotional since she cared for him so much
Would you rather live in peace as Mr. Nobody, or go down for all times in a blaze of glory? Wrong choice David :(
I watched this anime almost a year ago and still shed tears watching this.
I just finished the anime and it’s crazy the amount of emotions it could produce. With that banging OST in the back too just hits even harder thru this whole show. Incredible
I was sooo relieved that Lucy didn’t take off her helmet at the end.. all the time I had impression that she wanted to do it ;_;
Cheers to the two legends Rebecca and David 🍺🍺
The ending reminds me of Blade Runner 2049 where K's own purposeless existence suddenly found one and sacrifice his own life to save Deckard in order to meet his daughter, the same way David sacrifice his own hopelessness life to fulfill Lucy's dream to go to the moon away from the cesspool of Night City. Both died with no regrets and doing the most human thing. Beautifully crafted.
Only 10 episodes were enough to love all characters
In the end he did get her to the moon 😥
When the BD date simulation was more wholesome than the real thing. Regretted binging this sht, it left a hole inside of me.
is it too much to ask for a cyberpunk romance anime
@@sp7814 pfp mood
Same.
it's been more than 1 year and I'm still crying watching this
This show was surprisingly so good but man the ending was heartbreaking 😭
If only Smasher was like this in the game. Knew he'd be in it. Just not in this way.
I thought he was going to be replaced by someone different like another antagonist like freakin voodoo boys or even freakin ozob lol
This brutal? You can do more in an animated series than in a game.
V is just overpowered.
He's pathetic in the game 🗿
I just wanna cry all night it’s 4am rn in Cali smh 🤦🏾♂️ I can’t sleep now
That ending piss me the fuck off, they did david dirty
@@anthonymojica1673 no they followed the game with the story of starting as a streetkid, making it up top to the big leagues then dies to it just like the game, despite having choices to go into a corpo lifepath but its a trap (arasaka academy-forced to use the suit) and going nomad, lucy talked alot like judy with leaving the city and all. Thats just how it goes in nightcity no happy endings
@@toiam8350 damn, you make a good ass point, but still tho, this shit was kinda sad,I wanted to see more David and Lucy moments,(even tho Lucy can be harsh sometimes to him, but still).I was kinda hoping in the end, they leave night city, get married, and have kids, but then again, this is night city's,I woke up at 12 accidentally and I was hyped to watch it,to find out we got this piece of shit ending!
This anime does a really good job depicting what it feels like to lose someone. They are there one moment...then they just are gone. And they never come back.
That’s not even the worst part
The worst part is how everything just goes on anyways it’s like your friend took a trip when you’re waiting for them to come back but you know they’re never coming back again with no certainty of what happens after death
Title and thumbnail for this video is perfect, makes sense regardless of where you are in the series and doesn't spoil anything. Doing the world a service, my guy.
Smasher did Rebecca the same way he did with Saul in the game
Holy shit your right damn 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Rip my man Saul
Great series, sad ending. But happy endings are not happening in Night City, I guess.
Also, I hope Lucy gets a least a cameo or something in the upcoming DLC.
Well we can blow up Smasher and nuke the tower again..
As soon as we saw David start to shake involuntarily, we all knew where this ending was heading. But it still left us all crying like babies as this scene came to an end. RIP David Martinez and all the others who died along the way.
The song in this scene fits so well, the intro and outro too
Alright, after watching Edgerunners, for the second time now, I'm guessing V is another individual who can handle massive amounts of cyberware without going completely psycho. Afterlife is slacking in their named drinks; at the very least, there should be a Sasha, Maine, and Rebecca shot. Also, I need the academy brat and that extra creepy doc in the game SO I CAN KILL THEM MYSELF!!! And maybe buff up Adam Smasher?
Rebecca maybe since she got killed by Smasher the living legend but Maine is a no, he is just another cyberpsycho.
I’m about to start up my second viewing! Amazing anime.
V died and came back so I guess his/her body can handle it
@@kevo300 Tbh. Since V did die, I wonder if it's still possible to get cyberpsychosis when the construct was replacing V's brain with Johnny's.
@@venveng if getting killed by smasher was all it took, then we'd have a ton of legends in night city.
This is just wow, such an amazing finale
I just finished watching this show it’s a masterpiece thank you trigger studio
In the end, David died as himself; no attachments, no psychosis, no hallucinations. He died as David and his name will be remembered.
Binged this through the whole night. Hands down, the best anime of the year
Thank you Trigger, my heart hurts with that ending
I just finished today and I haven't felt this sad from a series in awhile , my tears never stopped witnessing everything during the fight
God even after a year everytime i listen to the music or see this im crying my soul out. I'm currently in the bathroom crying for 15 minutes about 2 character that wanted to be happy and go to the moon😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
At least one of them gets the opportunity to be happy
@@A-TALKING-TOASTER u think she'll be happy after that? It's a depressing and corrosive life. She didn't fulfill her dream also because it was going to the moon with him
Same studio as Kill La Kill but ended like Akame ga Kill, damn bro
I thought he's gonna live as a construct but nahhh. Ending hits hard af
Adam even asks, he declines before he knows what it is, as it is right.
Snatching someones body overwriting they're memories and walking around in a new meat suit in somebody that had maybe family or loved ones is scummy as fuck. Imagine your best friend or lover being overwriten like some hard disk.
@@PSYMEDIC destroying his brain is Adam's way of showing respect, he knows the corpos would make a slave out of David the same as him, forever bound to the corporate entity.
@@PSYMEDIC David declining don't mean anything. I am pretty sure Johnny declined heavily & Arasaka still cloned his construct with soulkiller.
@@crozraven Johnny also had his brain intact and was alive. Ain’t no bringing David here back as his brain is little more than sidewalk paint
@@crozraven Yeah, but it was Saburo who was handling the situation in Johnny's case. Here it was Adam himself coming up with this. So he did want consent.
