I felt like you were at my house then. I grew up doing the same thing with my grandpa and my nanny making the same thing. This video hit the heart there for me man. Great video keep them coming
My grandmother in Tennessee made squirrel and dumplings a little differently. If it was a grey squirrel she would fry it but all fox squirrels were cooked in the pressure cooker until the meat would fall off the bone and she would put chicken stock and bacon grease in a pot to cook her dumplings in. Such great memories. Also cavenders greek seasonings has been a go to for me since the mid 80’s. Great video as always
Different I love this episode I really would like to see more that squirrel Stew reminds me of my mother she use to cook it My brothers loved it except for one the other 3 liked it I haven't tried it I don't eat ice cream or watermelon and different stuff but I will never say never I really enjoyed your the best thanks for sharing 👍🏽🔥💯
Hey Jared, ive never seen a fox Squirrel. They grow em big down there! The quarter trick 👍. My buddy uses his cheek , somehow he makes a perfect Squirrel call🤔. Thanks for the catch and cook🌞 enjoy! JO JO IN VT 💞
Hey bro it's me Cory from Your Outdoors, Great video I love me some squirrel and dumplings and yours looked amazing. God bless and see you on the next one.
I've used the qrtr trick too. Work really good, but I scraped one over the other. My dad told me about it. First time one of his suggestions worked.lol
Thats a great time there brother!! Cant wait to move back south and take my kids out squirrel hunting there! Squirrels n dumplings is a southern delicately that most folks wont ever have the pleasure to eat! God bless you and your family sir!
I just ain't got the heart to take Fox Squirrels any more. Lord knows l took enough of em vack in my day. But their numbers are probably 1000/1 Grey/Fox in my area. And they're just so goofy to watch, l ain't got the heart to stick it to em no more. But that's just me... Happy hunting
That's a good description! In my public land in NE GA, I'd put the number closer to 10:1 though. In GA, the limit on Foxes is one per day on public land. A few weeks ago I got a fox early then the next one I saw was another fox so I just sat and watched him, thinking about how many easy rifle shots I could've had as they just kind of lollygag around, whereas grays often force you to make quik, accurate shots. Not so much with a shotgun, though.
Hello 👋 Jared, I really appreciated the opening quote and the walk in the woods. This was the most lifelike squirrel hunt ever. Thank you 🙏 for the time and effort to make this experience possible 👍💪🙌🙏🌈✌️🐽🐷🐖
Hey 350. Please note that my post is purely curiousty and me trying to learn about other people-nothing more. Please ignore if you're offended by me asking. I don't watch very many big game videos but have noticed tons of squirrel hunting videos by Hmong creators. Far more than any produced by immigrants from other immigrant cultures combined. IYO, is this disparity from the Hmong being traditional hunters, or is squirrel a traditional food source? I'd love to try that recipe, but don't think you'll ever get me to burn the skin off! Thanks!
❤ Pretty land. Quiet walk. Squirrels a bonus.😊
I love your channel Sir! Glad you included KFred, he is another good dude! Ca c'est bon!

I do that with a silenced airgun🙂🙂 nice eating without the pellets.
I’d love to do something like that but we keep too much cover on the trees they’d have to really stay in an open spot
I wish I lived closer to you. I would love show you some fun squirrel dog action. I am sure there is someone close to do a collaboration hunt with.
