This is why our parents always yelled at us for doing the light switch too many times. 😂
You mean besides the fact that it's annoying?
My theory: Because the switch seemed to be slightly burnt, maybe it was a portal to hell, as you can kinda hear their voices in the backround, seeming in distressed. Also the switch could symbolize that you had so many chances to stop, and yet you still continue this foolish path when nothing is happening or it's going wrong. As you can see in the beginning when they were playing with the switch nothing happened, but still continued, and one by one left.
Problem with your theory: The younger girl never touched the light switch, and was not allowed to leave. If we're going with the switch as an agent of choice, it only gave any choice to the older boy and girl.
The middle of the three boys in age seemed sexually jealous of the oldest one, hence his acting out by trying to irritate and scare the others. He kicked their ball into the abandoned house, then led them further and further in even after retrieving the ball. He never touched the light switch, though. The oldest boy disappeared the youngest one, then the older girl disappeared him. She then tried clicking the lights rapidly, but just a fraction of a second was enough to lose the middle boy.
Through all this, the young girl never really agreed to their game, and most importantly she did not touch the light switch once she was there alone. If the road to Hell is about choices, then she should not have disappeared.
That place is not explained why was abandoned or what type of place it was. But it could be that it was a place of experiments and that's why it was a wreck and and they locked themselves in a physics room that it works in time traveling and dimensions. And that's exactly what that switch does: activates that magnetic'field that takes a single body mass at a time from a different time on the exact same place and traps them exactly there... and one by one they all ended up together trapped in that same room in the past and you could hear them scared, stressed and trying to understand what was going on. You could hear their vices as a connection between past present

This film was released in 2010, but was uploaded to this channel in 2019. Dust uploaded this to their channel a few years ago.

Reminds me of this movie called Don't Blink. Towards the end, there's only two people left and they're holding each others hand and looking in a mirror, but then they both close their eyes and he still vanishes, and she's just left with her hand outstretched. Good movie.

It looked like they let go without noticing, just off reflex. Now, that's obviously because the actors couldn't make their hands look like they were holding something that vanished, but I like to explain stuff with in-universe explanations.

The switch = Nose
Below switch there is a "smiling lips shaped" burned spot = Mouth
For example,
Antagonist: *Person dies in a freak accident and haunts the house*
Setting: *House where the person died in*
Character: *Lets go in the house because its haunted and we might die*

This is Dalton Mills near Keighley, Yorkshire (hence the dialect). One of the great mills of the 19th - 20th centuries, it was still functioning up to thd beginning of the 1990’s. After closure, it became famous as a place for making creepy movies. It was nearly destroyed by a major fire on the night of Jan 1-2 2011, but was restored and ’gentrified’. You can now rent ’classy’ office space there. Just beware - the electric wiring’s a bit weird.

When it started, I thought it was some kind of a trailer.
The point of the actual game is to shift places before the light is back on; the person holding the light switch shouldn't see the shifting; if he sees, then whoever was moving is out, and if any person consecutively stays in the same place also is out. They didn't play it like that, though. It was a random play here, but it turned out to be sinister, especially the ball hanging in the air and falling. It is a fantastic shot.

Oh my God, this is so original, the fact that the monster is unseen and they just mysteriously vanish is what really scared the life out of me. I loved every click of this. I was so ready for the monster to come out right qt the end but the fact that I was left in suspense is actually so unnerving. It's funny how as humans we are so afraid of the unknown. I loved this, great job alter you've wowed me again!

It's a game. I used to play it, i would have my group of friends and we would be in a room.
There is a light switch, and each time someone turns off the light switch, we would all change places, move around the room. I believe that is the concept of this film, the kids are just gone now.
Excellent performances from all these young actors, and stunning direction of the location, the lighting, colours, and decaying grandeur, giving the building an Argento-esque malevolence of its own. I love the "Haunting" style hint of a mocking face on the light switch. That was a chilling answer indeed to the age-old question "can I have my ball back?"

Heh... remembering my own childhood with no smartphones, I can think of way more boring things we did just to pass the time than go to an abandoned house and play with the lights to see who gets scared first.
For example, we hung around at a dig site and dug up big rocks just so we could try rolling them down a hill.
I'm surprised Alter isn't on a streaming app. The films are great, and really well done. They've got a variety of different kinds of horror. I bet lot's of people would watch ❤ I personally have gone back and watched many of them multiple times

Arm Collector Hey there! Actually i have never watched Crypt tv or scream fest , it sounds interesting though. I have seen the terrifier on Netflix though and it was pretty interesting and insane lol i definitely got a kick out of watching it. I feel like I’ve seen all of the horror movies on Netflix though whole time. If i can think of any other good scary movies I’ll share them with you for sure 👌🏾
