this game really underrated even the original it's was my childhood it was a hidden gem that a few ppl know it ,the story is the best in video games even some movies couldn't deliver a story like it , i'm just happy that this game got a Remake that deserve
I never played the original but the definitive I love it I was on the brink of tears but also happy at then end I recently saw them ending in the original and it kinda seemed like he was shocked but in the newer version it's like he was more relieved love this game playing all 3 currently on the second now wish me luck brothers
@@tha_nighthours not gonna lie in the dedinitive there some good new or rewrite moment like the smile at the end, so i cant choose wich better both are good. The original it was good for its detail and gameplay at it's time (2002) . Any way mafia 2 also have good story more drama than 1 and 3 it's also have nice story but it's may get boring in the middle or when ur in the open world

Tommy just wanted a piece,thats why he said "Yes" when Vito came.He didnt want them pursue his family during their whole life. In alternative variant, he would say "No" and everything would be OK

The new ending makes more sense. Tommy would logically have been looking over his shoulder his entire life waiting for the day someone came to kill him, so when it finally happened it makes sense for him to feel some relief at that. The part about mafia betraying each other was already well established earlier in the story, that is the whole reason Tommy talked to the detective in the first place
Yeah as much as I worship the original, the whole Tommy being surprised by someone saying "Mr. Angelo" is bullshit. In the new ending, he knows that even though he ratted out and is safe, there is always the possibility that it will catch up on him. He knows how the organization works and what is done to traitors
tommys whole intention with robbing the bank was that he could get out of the mafia life and have a propper family life instead for him it was about family and it already was like that in the original just not as fleshed out
yes at end we can see cutscene he is on wedding of his daughter but after that red car stops infront his house and joe and vito asks: Thomas Angelo? Yes? Mr. Salieri sends his regards so yes he has family
