Probably one of if not the most forgotten character
So hwaryun is a really interesting character also her role as a guide isn’t as explained in the anime, but she can see bits of the future which is why knew khun didn’t die and other things she predicted. Guides are really rare positions and the only other guide that we know of besides Ryun is Evan who was traveling with Yuri in s1.
Tower of God is really good at upending expectations. Back when I read this in the webtoon, I also did not expect Khun would end up with Wangnan and the rest lol

Fug is currently in two minds about how to deal with Bam, as we saw in the scene where Karaka talks to Jin (Bam's former master). The more extremist faction set up the incident with Cassano and Khun's death on their own to form a new team for Bam, so Hwaryun told Khun everything to thwart that decision, since she is on the side of the FUG members who want a less radical approach with Bam.
That's a really great and simple way to explain the situation and her motivations, thank you. I had kinda forgot about the split factions for a second so that all definitely makes sense

@@bluestReacts Put simply, it's a conflict between the "pro-Viole" part of FUG (which includes Hwaryun) and the "pro-Karaka" part. The Slayers are treated as objects of religious worship, and each has his devotees.
Jinsung is caught between the two groups, because he is friendly with both of these Slayers.
The guy protecting bam name is Jin Sung
7:40 Khun is the family name. His name is Aguero. Agnes is due to being from the Agnes branch of the family and Khun is self explanatory.
Been reading the manhwa since 2016 and I still have to remind myself of this. That’s the tricky thing about translating Eastern names for American audiences
If my first name was “Aguero” I’d go by my last name too tho
Also there was a translation error from prince that mentions khun is a ranker lol which he is not.
It was announced that 2nd opening and ending are gonna be by the same group who did first season opening and ending, Stray Kids.
tog is far and away my favorite webtoon and or manga. and the anime does things that make little sense to me at times. when khun sees the A rank pocket, everything clicks for him, he says " all things make sense because fug needs an irregular to make their dream come true". hwaryun just confirms his theory. she also knows khun would survive because she is guide, whom can see pieces of the future.

18:08 Remember what I said about FUG being huge, with some groups thinking the ends justify the means while others disagree? And conficts of interest can happen even within FUG.
So in ToG universe names go in this orders :
Father's surname
(Birth name)
Mother's surname
That's why people call Baam :Viole which is the name in the middle.

His birth name is Aguero but he introduces himself as Khun. Because like Akraptor said earlier this episode that he's really proud of his family and he wants to become the Head of the Khun family in the future.
(His father's name is Khun Eduan. He was name dropped in episode 5)

7:50 lol we all do 😅 I’ve been reading the manhwa for years, and so have a bunch of my friends, and we all still forget that fact every once and a while. One of the tricky things about translating names from Eastern cultures is the order is always screwy, and Khun’s specific circumstances make it especially tricky imo

FUG have many faction. The Elders and The Slayers, as stated by guide Hwa Ryun in this episode. This is all about politics. FUG wants to use Baam, but some FUG members are impatient and want to use him "FASTER".
JINSUNG (Baam's martial arts teacher) is not an Elder or Slayer. But he's strong asf. (Also stated by Ryun in this episode)
The anime actually REMOVED many things about Jinsung's backstory on why he joined FUG, his training session with Baam, and also removed some of Karaka's conversation line
this is my third watch of the episode, and I just remembered that Season 1 anime never establishes that pockets are necessary for communication in the tower. Man season 1 anime was such a mess.
On the Dan thing. First of all - assuming Khun doesn't die, and it's a fairly easy assumption to make, it doesn't matter if Dan says it was her. It's painfully obvious who did it. She only started this plan because she knew that Khun knew. So it really doesn't matter.
I also have a lot more grey view of Rachel than most people. People get very easily swept up by protagonist bias and assume that everything Rachel does has to be evil, because she is acting against "us". But was she really being evil here, or was she saving Dan's life?

From what I’ve been told
Ryun was betrayed because fug forced viole to join the "FUG" team in the Workshop battle. She and Ha Jinsung wanted to give viole the freedom to stay with his current team. At least that's how I understood it.
No. The reason is much more complex but it would be a huge heavy spoiler for this anime-only reactor guy.
Like what was said before, there's a lot more to it but it's a spoiler.
