    Thank you so much for this fix for the "moisture detected in the USB port' error on my Fire tablet. I had tried several other fixes posted online and nothing worked. I was thinking that I would have to go buy a new tablet when. I came across your video. I didn't have much confidence that it would work since everything else I tried failed, but I decided to I would try this one last fix before giving up on fixing the tablet. I can't express my gratitude enough.

    I have a Kindle e-reader that is maybe 6 or 7 years old. I replaced the battery; but, am still having problems with it charging up. I have tried holding the power button down for 40 seconds at a time to maybe synchronize the battery to the operating system; but, it does not work. Even leaving it plugged in overnight is not working to recharge the battery. The charging cables are fine, the electrical outlets are fine; but, there does seem to be a problem with the communication between the charge port on the Kindle and the battery. I'm not proficient enough to know what to try next. Do you have any suggestions?

    I was worried about replacing my high-end older oasis with this one ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCgPI5O2AtmcHq9SJhgsCGbpAzJAJfrJp but it is surprisingly light and the screen resolution is just as good. I never had the warm light on my old kindle, but i do not use it on the ipad so I will probably not need it. I think the only thing I'll miss is the self-adjusting light, but this is so worth it!

    thank you very much, had the critical battery issue on my kindle paperwhite and the charger wouldn't turn on. Use this cleaning method along with Pro Repair Tech's video on the 10th gen tear down. All it took was cleaning the battery cable ribbon and circuit board connection. Plugged it back in and boom, actually see the charging light turn on! I might of ruined the waterproofing of this tablet, but at least I'm not giving anymore money to Amazon!

    Will regular rubbing alcohol work? Any suggestions for another hard plastic item to use?

    • @TechsavvyProductions

      Remember rubbing alcohol has additives, try using 99% pure alcohol (Amazon), a guitar pick is my favorite tool for opening cases. Thank you for watching!

      Hey quick question, what are those two orange things at the top of the tablet and um, what do you do if you accidentally cut one in the process of opening the tablet? 😅

    Saw one other video just like this, minus the isopropyl. Maybe Amazon saw it. My Kindle Fire 7 5th gen (I think) has the battery connector stuck to the motherboard and I don't think I can unplug it. Help?

    • @TechsavvyProductions
      @TechsavvyProductions  3 года назад

      Get the best magnifying glass you can get your hands on and look closely. Sometimes its glue, then carefully pry off. Sometimes the connectors are just tight and require gentle movement back and forth and a steady pull.

      @@TechsavvyProductions I have a 2017 Kindle HD 8 7th gen that won’t charge after installing a new battery. The battery wasn’t holding charge well, the original, ended up leaving it plugged in while using it. One night the screen flickered a little and the next night’s when I tried to use it, it was dead and wouldn’t show the charge indicator. Changed outlets and cord and saw the indicator briefly and then gone again.
      I saw the video about disconnecting the battery and charge port cable, cleaning the latter, but my Kindle doesn’t have a cable to clean coming off the charge port - built into mother board. Anything else I can try along those lines for this gen Kindle?

    Great idea, but sadly broke the screen trying to get it open. Mine was almost 10 years old, so not a huge loss, but was hoping to squeeze more life out of it. Ah, well!
