  • Other than being stock the front 2 arms were replaced with RPM arms which have better impact flex and the rear wing was replaced.
    The chassis has a chip and small crack, but is not affecting performance. The chassis was replaced in this other video (link below) and I give it a hard twist with my hands in video link below.

    Thanks for giving us this great demonstration on pinion gears. It's good to know how each one preforms. Great runs with you Typhon. 👍

      Thanks. The cars are fun, but I just don't have money to keep that idea going. The car is still in good shape though.

    Thanks. You did all that work. Now I don't have to. I was thinking about trying that exact thing. 👍

      Do not do speed test with an expensive cell phone. My phone cost $100. With the higher tooth spur gears the motor gets hotter. The higher speeds are more likely to cause crash. I suggest sticking with the stock 15 tooth as you will have better control. The hardest part I find is trying to enjoy the thing without driving like a mad man and breaking something.

    Cool! Probably could have hit 65+ on the 26T with a higher discharge battery

    Do you think the 18t Pinion gear is the Best option in between bashing and decent top speed, by the way great video bro

      Perhaps, 18t will be fine. I like sticking with the 15t as it provides the acceleration and control to drift. The motor gets hot easily on the 20t and high speed crashes are deadly. The 45mph is fine. If I knew how to drive this 3s class I think just buying the 6s typhoon would be the way to go. But I see why now they do not allow 6s on my local indoor track, it would launch clear across the track and through the canopy walls. Also, I did grind out a rear drive plastic gear using the 15t, I showed that in a video. Perhaps the 6s has a metal gear there. I put motorcycle KTM oil in my diff

      @@carlosmorean2909 good to hear. I guess I will make that drifting video, need to figure out where I put the bald tires, as they make good drift slicks.

      @@jstewart627 bro how you lube your typhon? I mean after run what do you use or what do you do ? 👍🏻✌🏻

    • @jstewart627
      @jstewart627  2 года назад

      @@carlosmorean2909 I do not lube anything. I bought on ebay a full bearing set and replace if bearing sounds like there is a grinding noise in there. Nothing fancy, like a $22 full bearing set. Local hobby shops might sell them to you for 50 cents each, call them and ask. The grease on the plastic diff drive gear seems to come off easy. I better figure out where to get that and start smearing that on. It is easy to open the diff housing but it is difficult to open up the diff box to replace that little plastic gear.
