Suggestion: try jam and spike. Jam them to prevent them from using jammer, then deploy spikes.
Never thought about this, but in these races, jamming first then emp'ing is smart af.

That tactic won't work on me: I ignore EMP lock ons, as it takes at least 3 EMPs to total my vehicle. Not a concern when you focus solely on the race because you will have a large gap by now.
What I did however is jam first, then spike them. That damage AND slow them down. More effective if they are too fixated ramming each other.
Traffic is my friend: sideswipe one on narrow roads (preferably GMC TopKick), total anarchy behind you. That is how I dodged EMP lock ons while I am jammed, by the way.
@@dbclass4075 In regards to your first point, that depends on your car, what level EMP that player has, and health level. You can nearly get one shotted with level 3 EMPs with almost any car. Though, I’ve noticed that the Bentley Continental and Porsche Panamera can take more damage than most of the cars in the game.
@@infiniteblaz3416 All cars can survive one Level 3 EMP hit from full health. Worst that can happen is draining it to critical damage. And hence why the second point is important: jam and spike. Best time to use these is after they activate their turbo. Reason being during the turbo, the cars become stiff, greatly reducing their chances of dodging spike strip. With their systems jammed, they can't use their jammer either.
This tactic achieves two things:
• Frustrate their use of turbo, wasting one use.
• Slow them down dramatically (the damage is just the bonus), increasing the gap further in a way EMP is no longer a concern.
@@dbclass4075 And to respond if you read properly “depends on health level”. I’m aware that all cars can survive LVL 3 EMPs from full health, that’s obvious. But your plans won’t work much if you’re going up against someone who can analyze your moves quickly. Lol. That’s my point. I do the Jammer + EMP/Spike combo myself, it’s not much of a complex strategy but not a bad one either. This is one game where you can’t have a god complex, not saying you do but it’ll frustrate almost anyone quickly.
You gotta give props to this man, he is a legend at driving.
No, he's a decent player, it's just that everyone else who f***ing plays this game is a damn idiot.
I admit hot pursuit is hard as hell but the physics in need for speed in general suck. I would like to see how he drives in a real racing game that has actual cornering

1:42 he baited you into slowing down therefore giving up your position, all he had to do was simply pass you, and if he wanted put a spike right after passing for extra good measure, and he didn't have to worry about a spike because he jammed, good play, bad execution

For me I always win a arms race, all you have to do it be ahead of everyone asap before weapons appear and when it does if you first place drop spikes behind you bada bing bada boom you win everytime

@@ThePrivateGamer19 so it's not underrated. What I think would fit more into underrated would be need for speed shift / shift 2 which made no sense to be in the franchise, it later became project cars which is way more successfull.

i know why they do this because its the aftermath from the original Hotpursuit where does cheaters beginns to flow over the server and anyone needed to leave the game behind so these people got some traumata damaging in his brain parts they think these cheaters are back so they use to ram anyone who is faster and better then them so sad !
