    I love these rides.

    That stinks these rides usually tilt higher and go a lot faster and longer. They usually do a long wave motion and can also go foreword and backwards

    I used to have a local fair that had this ride, but it was surf-themed and called Wipeout. I had no idea the ride was extremely rare. It was one of my favorites. As the years went on, they made the ride shorter by not having it go in reverse. They would also use to have it spin really fast when it was on the ground level before stopping the ride.

      Oh yes. I wish this ride was more common than it is now. I don't even know if any fairs have them. Chicketee Amusements was the last rides company that has one but they don't maintain their rides well at all. Kentucky State Fair used to have one a few years ago that went forwards and backwards but that's been several years ago before Kissell Entertainment took over their midway.

      @@rtraveler2004 The local fair that used to have this ride no longer has rides at all, but the last one that did, they didn't have it there.
      Apparently, the one I went on was the same one that Michael Jackson owned at Neverland Ranch. That's just what I heard though. I know after a few years they changed the seats, or at least repainted it.

    What was the dealeo with that? Who's operating it? That was a short cycle and usually higher. One of my favorite rides. Theme parks do that.

    • @rtraveler2004
      @rtraveler2004  Год назад

      Ya I wish it was a little longer cycle. These rides are becoming more and more rare and parts are harder to find for maintenance.

      @ler2004 Meanwhile these rides are the most easiest to produce/manufacture as they just use a lift air compressed arm and just wheels that rotate the arm structure as well as the track platform and it's not even rare nor expensive to maintain those kind of rides trust me! That's why these are type of the oldest rides in history when it comes to technology matters

    This is really disappointing that they ruined the experience by cutting the ride short like that. Any trabant supposed to go one direction then spins around the axis and reverses direction to end the ride. Unless the riders specifying asked for this the operator should be ashamed

    • @rtraveler2004
      @rtraveler2004  Год назад +2

      Ya I like the older models where it went both ways.

      Agree. One of the reasons I love this ride because it's unique how it functions.

    That was lame. Someone should complain about the ride being too short and not going at a steeper angle like those rides usually do.

  • @janemueller653
    @janemueller653 9 месяцев назад

    Horrible, it's supposed to go up higher forward at 1st than reverse it's way back to the beginning. Not to mention, there was always big speakers blasting music while waiting on line and throughout. It was fun to watch while waiting in line. This guy operating it needs to get fired,

  • @Coyotek4

    Short, not very steep, backwards only ... pitiful.

      @@rtraveler2004 ...this seemed ridiculously short though. Doesn't the Trabant normally go forward and backwards? It only went backwards for a few seconds, then stopped, sadly. I wasn't even on it and i want my money back...haha.

    • @rtraveler2004
      @rtraveler2004  Месяц назад

      It's been years since I've been on them that go forward and backward. I remember the ride operator saying he can make it go backwards but it runs a risk of breaking the ride bc it is so old so they just run it forwards.
