Hi Wattles. This is the seventh episode where I’ve suggested this, and lots of people have liked my comments. In the jungle, you should build a temple with an underground complex underneath it. It can be like an ancient shopping mall. Each store in the mall can contain the output chest for a different farm. And each store can be themed like that farm. I think trying to build EVERY farm in the game seems pretty impressive.
I had next to zero knowledge on redstone stuff (other than making songs with note blocks, lol) and now my eyes have been opened! You’ve contributed to our society, even in such a small way as this
This is by far the best introductory video on Redstone. I have been playing Minecraft for more than a year now and still didn't quite understand Redstone. Now I can finally use all those Redstone that I collected and start making farms. Thank you so much Wattles.
Unless the “Deep Dark” biome spawns under Y:0, the warden is already going to change the diamond gathering experience of the early game, atleast for those players that dont jump immediately into Strip/Branch mining. Also thats going to be terrifying just breaking out of a branch mine into a cave to get 1 shot by a warden.
I really have to say - that was one of the best redstone videos I have seen so far. You explained them so easy. Most Minecrafter explain the things so complicated, so that it never makes sense.. but THAT was an immense help. Thanks, Wattles!

It was a clear refresher and helped me remember what all the stuff did. It is easy to forget that the block with the torch on it is not actually powered.
This is an unexpected turn! I am at 1:13 in this video and I am STOKED to see what you will talk about concerning redstone. I love to learn from you, you're doing great!
I'm doing redstone from 2014 and I'm at the level of mumbo jumbo. Now I build timing circuits and slime and honey block flying machine based farms. Edit: im not boasting, its just to say I was struggling in the beginning but you'll eventually get the hang of it.
This actually really helped! I actually learnt something about Redstone. and made a armor suit up station with a pressure plate and a bed! (so when you spawn you have armor put on immediately)
Really enjoyed this one, I'm about to start my bee and sheep shearing farms so these tips will come in handy :) I also wanted to know if at some point you could go through the various types of minecarts and what each does, the basic cart and the hopper cart I would guess are the most used but a guide on the others could be useful.
For comment of the day: There should be an enchantment on a pickaxe that auto smelts every block it breaks once. For example, if you break stone, you get smooth stone, Iron ore you get iron ingots. Like so Wattles can see.
Why not add a "mining laser" style thing, use the new copper resource, along with a redstone block, and a netherite pick, and you combine them into a "Blast Pick", its functionally the same speed as a netherite pick but it smelts what it mines. I could even see them combining a redstone block and copper into a "Battery" resource, which you "feed" to the pick to keep it working. So just like smelting. But handheld, and requires more expensive resources. There could be even different types of batteries. Redstone, Blazerod, etc, that power different devices.

Great video! This would be have been so useful for when I first started redstone lol. I think I might make my own redstone basics video now :). However, 3 things. You said one ore when fortuned can drop 2 to 32 dust. That would be lapis. Most ores are effected using the formula of 2/(fortune level+2) being the chance to not get a bonus, then the bonus being a multiplier of 2 through (fortune level+1). Redstone ore however just increases the range maximum, so it is 0 through (5+fortune level). The other thing is that you said you have to mine redstone ore to get redstone. I haven't gone mining in years on my main world, where all I do is redstone. That is because of witches. In practicality, yes you should start with redstone ore. But technically you can start with witches. 3rd, observers are not BUDs. If you observe the air block next to a redstone dust and turn on the dust, it won't send a signal even though the air block is receiving a block update, even though a BUD would. The observer is a block state detector. In certain situations, you can change a block state and not send a block update. For example, opening and closing a trapdoor doesn't update a budded piston, but will activate an observer. Another example would be locking and unlocking a hopper. Doesn't update a bud, but can be observed by an observer.
