Nice one mate 👍 its one of those parts not if but when it breaks and if the oem plastic lasted 20+years thats good with me I would fit the oem aswell also I heard some of the cheap alloy parts leak as they have poor mating surfaces
ive used an aluminum one. Blew my coolant hoses because those plastic sections are made to take the hit when something goes wrong with the cooling system.
i had replaced that with an aluminum one and regret it, be careful those sections are made out of plastic in order to break so you dont have exploding coolant pipes everywhere.
Btw because the BAM 20vt is extremely hot engine. I would suggest to change all the coolant and fuel lines with those made for boat engines, they last forever.

Looking for a coolant bleeding method for a 180 mk1 TT. Is there a bleed valve or is the air just forced out by return?
