Padumanabha is a geetham which has nuances and expressions that can be compared to a krithi. A lot of observation and patience ie required to understand, learn and play this geetham. This tutorial will throw a light especially in the second half as to how a student must extract the sahityam with relation to the thalam.

Hi Suchitra. Glad you find the channel informative. Whether it be geetham or any song with accompanying lyrics, the thumb rule for Janda varisai goes as follows. If the Jandai has words below it, then play the notes in the Jandai format of split fingers. If the Jandai has no lyric below it, then simply oscillate the notes with less strikes.
