    I’ve now been running seriously for roughly 4 months, and I can confidently say your channel is the absolute best in the running world. No gimmicky titles, no “This one simple thing will get you a PB!!” BS. You keep it very real. Your advice of consistency and discipline, and being honest about how some runs will just suck really have helped me. I can say I’ve seen improvement, physically and mentally, in my training in part from your videos. Keep up the great work man.

    Somehow you are the most relatable runner I have seen on this platform whilst being the most unrelatable in terms of the times you run. Always love the videos and how vulnerable you are in all topics. I'll get out for that harder run tomorrow. Thank you.

      Hiya, out the blue question for you. How can you take training like this and transfer it to an ultra. I have entered my first one for next year and I am going to base my training around marathon plans and paces. Maybe the fastest runs being threshold type stuff. Chuck some hiking in there.
      Just wondering what your thoughts are on this?

    • @ImprezowyKotek
      @ImprezowyKotek Месяц назад +1

      @@chrism589 If you're not a pro you will benefit from executting any running plan. You have huge space to improve. I race my first part of season flat, then go trail, mountains and ultras. However go specific 3 months before the race. That mean running (or power hicking) the way you will run your race. Try to keep zone 2 tempo, stack back-to-back day training to accumulate volume, eat and drink, use vest or backpack. The most important is time spent on legs, not onlyu the distance. Good luck with your race :)

    I've been feeling low lately, running has been going really bad and other stuff going on in life. Was absolutely pissing down all day yesterday in Dublin but I decided fuck it I'm just going for a run. It was the first time in weeks I had a good run, I could have run all evening and I came home with that elusive runners high. Dunno if everything just suddenly clicked or if running in the warm rain had an effect on my brain but it felt so good.

  • @MrHaggyy
    @MrHaggyy Месяц назад +3

    I love running in the rain, and running at a treshholdy pace feels good for me. High effort burns too much, low effort is exhausting on it's own.
    I'm currently struggeling too. I have a small depressiv phase. It's not that i feel miserable, or couldn't do anything, but i'm emotionally detached. So i neither get good or bad feelings from a run, and my sense of effort is numb. I really appreciate your videos in those days as they push me towards running and stop me from doing something else or nothing at all. Thx.

    I really appreciate your perspective. I feel OK to work harder thanks to you! The whole zone 2 stuff, is over used. The body will find a way to make any pace feel hard. Need to trick the body to make hard feel easy!

    • @MrHaggyy
      @MrHaggyy Месяц назад

      Well the zones really depend on what you are after. Low effort is great to boost fat metabolism.
      But carbs can last for 1-2h, it's not really stressig your oxygen system, and it won't increase your strength.
      Also your body won't stop using fats if you hit higher intensity. So if you are time constraint sending it will give you more than staying in zone 2 religiously.

And sir when I start my first reps of 2k I feel little bit tired but when we go 2nd reps or further reps my body go very smooth. So sir plz guide me according to you and suggest your opinion to break sub 4:00 minute barrie of 1500m .
