Kong in Skull Island was done in Zbrush. The Kong in Peter Jacksons King Kong was done in the mudbox. I loved Mudbox when i came out. Autodesk bought it and softimage, and did not support them. Now i'm watching Maxon waste Zbrush and Adobe mess up Substance painter.

Mudbox was awesome before Autodesk bought it and ran it into the ground. They let it die on purpose. Mudbox interface and controls were more intuitive and more logical. The problem with Mudbox was that they never put in the effort to make it better and fix its bugs. Mudbox could have easily beat out ZBrush if they wanted it to.

Mudbox died long ago, I'm glad I jumped to zbrush and blender. I heard their 2025 version is going to be another mundane installer.
