I finally had a chance to tear open the Porsche… first few laps were rough. It did not like the elevation change on my layout. My guess it was the braids. I threw a set of silicones on it, pulled the magnet… was able to get it moving pretty good around the track. Next thing is to tackle the guide… so it will stay in the slot better. Very interesting design on the inside.
Wow Marty, now you need to open that Porsche and let it loose! God luck on your scratch-build and don`t be afraid of soldering. Excercise first on something to solder and than get it going. 🙂
The Porsche is a slot car and needs to be raced on the track. Get it tuned and give it a run. If you are wanting to collect shelf queens, die cast cars are the answer.

you have to set the inside tabs for the power system. If you don't you will normally get inconsistent power like you mention.
