no wonder they arent selling well. we have a global economy disaster, costs of living are at an all time high, most people are struggling to have any luxuries at all. Nvidias solution is to release two cards at well over a grand each.
I just bought this card a day ago and it's really quiet, i even wondered if the fans are spinning at all. The Materials are very good and the RGB is bright
Power draws on this series is just extravagant given the current energy crises. What kind of draw does it use when it's just idling away displaying a desktop or streaming video?
Got the Founders Edition it's great so far, Frame Generation is actually amazing, I thought it would look like garbage but it's worth using for sure. Spiderman Remastered is the only thing I've tested/played a lot so far but it's good.
The non-iChill X3-card looks alot better :) Love the segmented fan shroud design and the clean, basically uncluttered backplate on that one. The neatest looking 4080 IMHO. MSI's Eagle card is a bit duller, for those who like that. But the non-iChill X3 looks a lot less plastic. And it has a bios switch.
great review dominic, i think this range is a dead duck until nvidia start pricing them properly. i dont know anyone who wouldnt save a bit longer for the 4090. which is massively expensive as it is but at least you are getting a true flagship card

Currently running an MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Super Sea Hawk EK X on my custom loop. I'll be keeping it for the time being, although I am in the process of upgrading my main platform. The 2080 Super can still keep up with my native res (3440x1440) in most games, so I'll probably wait for RDNA4.
Could you review the 40 series Palit Omniblack GPU, it's the cheapest model I've seen and according to their website it does not have a Vapor Chamber either. Keep up the great content, thanks.
I've got this Inno3D 4080 iChill X3 model at launch and performs really great. Looks and performs amazing. EDIT: I sold the Inno3D card an got the Gigabyte Gaming OC model, much better.
@@randy101 It's funny because I was writing that question and thinking to myself "I bet he changed to other brand" because you are not the only that I saw changing this gpu to the gigabyte gaming oc. Thank you!
Not 650 pounds? It's nearly double that? What a scam...lm out. For me personally l think the price for 4080 is utterly ridiculous. I bought a laptop that can run most games at 1080p for 600 pounds...a full laptop...with a great amd gpu built in....you could buy the ps5 AND the new xbox snd get gsmepass for the price of just a 4080.....you could buy a 65 inch oled TV and soundbar for price of 4080. We've seen RTX 4080s are not selling well at the $1199/£1269 MSRP - what price would it need to drop down to for you to consider one?
899 to 999 at most. 😅
900 max
800 no more. its ridiculous
800 = has to be.
no wonder they arent selling well. we have a global economy disaster, costs of living are at an all time high, most people are struggling to have any luxuries at all. Nvidias solution is to release two cards at well over a grand each.
I appreciate this card simply for the fact that it shows just how stupidly overbuilt the other 4080s are.
Love seeing these cards without the cooling you can really see how well engineered the circuit boards are.
asus kullandım sürekli bu markaya biraz soğuk bakıyorum. nasıl bir marka ve ekran kartı yarı yolda bırakır mı seni?
Appreciated how Inno3D goes for costumer and not only for profit
Amazingly detailed review. I'm now sure about getting one of these. Thank you very much
Mine never goes over 60 degrees regardless of how long or how hard I run my 4080 x3 pc.. and its dead silent

how is it now after 6 months?just got one exact same model..
@@elinbarrage9638It's been running much better than my previous rx 7900xtx that i had to RMA. Haven't had any issues yet
This is a decent card! Especially given the better noise levels.

My 3090 is using around 18w doing this.
Another really detailed review from Dom thanks.
Hello, just wanted to point out that the MSI 4090 Trio and Trio X don't have vapor chambers.

I wanna see footage of the heatsink with the shroud removed, to see how easy a fan mod would be
Wouldn't a counter rotating central fan increase turbulence? Would love to see it verified with a smoke test.
Where do you plug the RGB cable on the motherboard?
my 3080ti broke and they sent me this as a replacement :) waiting on delivery.
Wow! I heard that they have shitty warranty but they do stuff like this!!
What software did u use for the gpu rgb?
Is the weight of these cards actually within the PCIe specification?
will it work with 2 of 3 power connectors plugged in?
Would have preferred they include dual BIOS instead of RGB lighting.
Can't wait for rdna3 here in Asia (nepal). Let's hope heaps of rdna3 7900xtx and 7900xt drop here near MSRP.
fingers crossed indeed man
waiting on RDNA 3 - AMD need to get something in good at well under a grand to make it worthwhile

QUESTION: You are saying the Inno3D card has the Power Limit locked at 100%. Does this also disable undervolting?
No
Can anyone recommend me whether it would be worthwhile getting the RTX 4080 IChill or go for Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070?
The MSI RTX 4090 Gaming X Trio and the non-X version (I have this one), also don't use a vapour chamber. And they work perfectly well!
how much did you pay for that?

Yeah I've seen it on sale actually below MSRP - we've got the Palit GameRock in atm but I'll try and find out what the differences are
So this isn't one of the self combusting 4000 series?
seems like a pretty good card, excellent review - but i dont know anyone who bought a 4080 or who wants one. not at that price
I wish nvidia hadnt been so greedy and released these cards at a sub 1000 price point. makes sense to me. these current prices are ridiculous.
Short - I would go with FE over this design. That RGB on the side is a mess. But then not many of RTX 4080 will sell anyway. At least for now.
Looking forward to graphic cards "adult edition" - 100 pounds cheaper without RGB crap and other totally unnecessary stuff :D
Every GPU nowadays seems to have the gamer look. AMD reference cards look way more professional though.
1:43 - I have the same scale :D
No dual BIOS is more a concern than limited power IMHO.
im waiting on RDNA 3 to see what AMD can do, the pricing is much better
