Some people are persuaded by xenophobic propaganda? I assume your implication is that racist and xenophobic ideas are more popular than anti-racist ideas, that's a grim prospective. I'd like to think that love trumps hate but it's difficult to reason someone out of a position they weren't reasoned into.
@bengolious you didn't make more industry/jobs, you just brought more people. Now there's more competition for fewer jobs, and that means downward pressure on pay & conditions. Not only that, but when you bring more new people than the number of existing job vacancies you necessarily create more unemployment, more limited scope for upwards mobility, more pressure on working people to financially support non-working people. Economics 101, bro.
@@OrwellsHousecat What if we raised taxes on the wealthiest people in society and fund more public services such that we could address people's needs first and foremost. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have been born with equal employment opportunities. We could solve that problem, if we acknowledge everyone's shared humanity.
And in startling news, the SWP is more necessary than ever before but still too small. Do SWP members ever feel they are starring in their own personal Groundhog Day?

I understand that many conservatives use the word pejoratively when they can't openly advocate for racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia. Thankfully most people reject 'divide and rule' bigotry as it doesn't benefit them. David Cameron didn't realise what beast he'd unleashed when said, "We're all in this together."
5 Reform MP’s actually and they’ll get more at the next election.Seeing that a lot of Europe is going to the right populists,what does that tell you?

Good talk. Realistic and optimistic in devastating times. People power is the only hope. Same as it ever was. The pain better get people moving 🙏👍🕊️
How does bringing in lots of new people help with wages & worker conditions?
Strength in numbers? Being a member of a trade union isn't the be all and end all but it does give some protection against exploitation.
@bengolious
More people in country doesn't automatically mean more people in unions (much less jobs). Obvs.
@@OrwellsHousecat Why wouldn't they be allowed to work?

Are you one of what Paul Foot called NANAS? Non-aligned, non-active sectarians?

Please elaborate. I await a measured and constructive response.
The word woke means what happens after sleep and nothing else.
