- As if we need ANOTHER movie franchise to juggle, it turns out the one that's been dormant for the last 5 years is making a comeback with a third movie! The Angry Birds Movie 3 has just been announced by SEGA and Rovio, and apparently there's a lot of hype behind it. With an IP that has amusement park presence, and was successful movies even when the app games were already old, I guess the question is does this franchise still hold the weight it had back in the early-2010? Whatever the case, it seems to be true that The Angry Birds Movies Are Back After 5 Years...

Since SEGA owns ROVIO they'll probably find some way to put Sonic in this film.
And honestly, When it comes to SEGA. My wishful thinking back in the 2000’s is Warner Bros and Sega to merge into one Japan-based media company. They should have done that years ago, especially when AT&T decided to divest WarnerMedia and merge it with Sega Sammy instead of Discovery

How about instead of making more movie sequels, Rovio just gives us back the removed angry birds games that we wanted.
Rovio isn't gonna bring them back because they say the reasons they deleted the old games from play store is that the new games are getting overshadowed by the old ones.

Knowing how Movie 2 went (Spoilers, I hate it. Movie 1 is miles better.), Rovio, don’t screw this up. The second movie is just not Angry Birds, it’s a spy movie with Angry Birds slapped on for marketing. And the characters in Movie 2, don’t get me started on how the characters were portrayed.
Movie 1 at least felt like Angry Birds. The second one just feels like Rovio going “How do you do fellow kids?”

Yeah, the second film sucked. Not only that they havent done single SHIT with the Blues, but they also screwed the whole.. How do I say that.. Atmosphere of the game. Adding third island making the mighty Eagle not so mighty anymore? Seems like a good decision/sarcasm. Making a truce between pigs and birds? Seems fine, BUT making them look like heroes when they wanted to eat your kids is NOT fine. + the fact that they have completely ignored the blues for no reason (yes, I know they have their own spin off but.. Imo it's just trash and for 10yo kids)

I mean when you do a movie/show based off a game I suppose a bad showing in the theater can be excused if it ignites more interest in the game. Thing is the tie in is very vague. I really don't think any one saw the angry bird movies and thought "wow that super popular game I never played, I"ll play now!".
With the lack of the original copies being pushed onto newer systems its rather...... harmful to the franchise.

I loved the first movie because not only it's nostalgic (even tho if it was released in 2016)but it also hitted me with another nostalgia about the games but the second movie wasn't my favourite (i kinda hated)but there's a chance that Rovio can fix that with the third one. So i can't wait for the trailer and the movie.
Tbh something i dont understand (at least from what ive heard) is that people say that the second movie is better than the first, despite the second one having absolutely nothing to do with the games, whereas the first movie actually has that in the form of its big climax scene...

The Sonic movies were great. If an Angry Birds movie can be close to that in terms of quality and storytelling, then I would actually like to watch this one. The two Angry Birds movies were mostly 5 or 6/10 (in my opinion). The Sonic movies were at least a 7/10 (opinion). I would like to see them improve the maturity and the tone in the next Angry Birds movie (kinda like the Spider-Verse movies and the recent Puss in Boots movie). But that is just what I want, it is unlikely given what we've gotten from the first two movies. Unless they pull a Puss in Boots where they make the 3rd movie so good nobody remembers the 2nd one that well. I don't think that will happen but we'll never know
I actually glad Angry Birds film is making a comeback, I highly enjoyed both 1 as well as 2. I wonder how they will close this trilogy if it does become a trilogy to finish it. Waited long enough.

the angry birds movie 1 generally had bad writing but the story was genuinely intriguing and red was actually somewhat funny while the second movie got better looks since it aimed it’s target audience at people who like movies littered with pop-culture references and funny facebook mom jokes
I don't care how bad the movie may be, I'll still watch it in theatres on opening day, the first movie was my comfort film for ages and at one point I memorised it line by line until I had to take breaks from watching it to forget about it a bit

I actually quite enjoyed the first two Angry Birds movies. They're a colourful distraction for when you've got nothing better to do with your time, and I'm curious on if this new movie will keep that trend going.

With Sega buying Rovio, I expect them to have different ideals instead of the new games, and Sega actually might bring the old games back, maybe even a stretch to setting old Angry Birds Go back.
I like the movies more than the shows since the characters actually talk with origins to their hatred of each other. We got new lore too. Also, am I the only one who finds it funny that we get angry birds movie 3 before angry birds game 3?
I just hope this film will actually resemble as an actual Angry Birds movie for the fans that have stuck with the franchise through its highs and recent lows instead of just another generic family feature. I have been a Angry Birds fan for nearly 13 years, I have seen the good, the bad, and especially the ugly. With SEGA now at the helm, i'm trying my best to be optimistic.

I don’t understand why people say the second film is better, as someone who grew up with this franchise I found the first film to be far more profound than the second. The second film is full of unnecessary deviations that overall hinder it. The first is simple enough and at the very least actively respects the franchise and understands the qualities behind it.

Really enjoyed the first movie and I though 2 was okay (though I used to really like it in the past) so hopefully they don't screw this one up. *Granted*, I don't Red's model in the teaser nor do I like Bomb just not even being mentioned, so we'll have to wait and see.
