Creature Commandos looks exciting - and the best part of this is that they're giving Frank Grillo a meaty role - he's always so much fun to watch, and I hope this role raises his profile

It sounds like The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker Season 1 are still canon, just slightly altered to fit the new continuity. They're going to have Rick Sr. settle his differences with Peacemaker over him killing Rick Jr. in the Suicide Squad, which was something Peacemaker was heavily dealing with guilt over in Peacemaker S1. So regardless of what they say, it sounds like you will definitely need to have watched both projects to know what's going on in Peacemaker Season 2, although now in a different continuity. What Gunn said about Margot Robbie still being Harley Quinn in his eyes just seems to lend credit to it. However, I think the Suicide Squad will probably take a back seat to or be replaced by the Authority in the new DCU. I think they will be acknowledged as having the existed or still existing but probably won't be prominent.

The story potential for Rick Flag Sr is something I’m excited to see as he’s going to be apart of Creature Commandos and will confront Peacemaker in his second season over the death of his son from The Suicide Squad movie that Gunn made which on its own could be the prelude to what’s to come as like a base to build upon especially if they have David Corenswet’s Superman be the one shot by Bloodsport and again acknowledging Peacemaker’s defining character growth moment with being confronted by a grieving father who wants to avenge his son with his unusual friends with the Commandos

Okay, but now this is confusing, is The Suicide Squad and Rick Flag Jr.'s death canon to Peacemaker season 2 or not.
Why not just make the whole events of peacemaker canon but leave out the dceu mentions and cameos

since they allude to a reckoning between flag sr & peacemaker i think its safe to say yes, jr's death is canon
@@k.c7672Thank You I’ve been saying this Peacemaker has little ties to the DCEU. Just take the Justice League cameo out of Peacemaker and the universe could easily not be the dceu.
Well they could tease a slightly different version of the events of peacemaker s1 through flashbacks and how they happened in the DCU

Bcz Probably IT NEW "DCU" & NEW "PEACEKEEPERS" Versions But Some Events Similarly.
