We are already counting down to the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. We do that by looking back to recent editions of Europe's favorite TV show. This time we go to 2010, when the contest was held in Oslo, Norway

There was a lot of good stuff in 2010 ... for me, the best year so far. Turkey, Ukraine, Germany, Moldiva, Romania ... so good... !!!

2023 calling - it still is my favourite year. I was just creating a spotify list with all my fave eurovision songs since 2009 and ended up with like the full 2010 year on there xD
2021 and 2010 is still my favorite year. Romania, Turkey and Denmark songs were really good
The year most known for not having Sweden in grand final.

Srdjan Gavrilović Back then in 2010, I didn't even noticed that Sweden failed to qualify for the final. If Sweden fails nowadays I would notice this for sure, like this year for Azerbaijan, Romania and Russia.
2010 is the Only year since Sweden begin to compete in the contest that we didn't get to the final. (First time was 1958)
I wanted Darin to win Melodifestivalen and represent Sweden in esc 2010. But some years the wrong song wins Melodifestivalen. :/ But Darin did sing in Eurovision 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. as a guest.
The worst year was 2005 when Nanne Grönvall "håll om mig" got highest points from televotes, but martin stenmark won because of jury votes. I was embarested to send Martin with "las vegas " to eurovision song contest 2005. He was so bad that I hoped for greece that year. And Helena won with "my number one" and I felt like a bit of Sweden won because Helena lives here in sweden (most of the time) :) but Nanne should have represent sweden 2005, that song "håll om mig" plays on the radio even today and its a big hit in sweden. Everyone forgot martins song.
Im a big nerd when it comes to Melodifestivalen and esc.

I’m watching this 12 years later and it’s mad how underrated this year was for Eurovision, easily one of the best contests during my lifetime.

I've seen and listen to all eurovisions songs from the first show I ever watched until today and I think 2010 was the greatest year. There were so many good songs, i loved it... I listen to some of them even now
I agree with you.The best year was 2010.There were songs better than Germany.I'm from Turkey and except Turkey i very liked Ukraine, Iceland, Israel, Greece, Denmark, Romania,Moldova and Azerbaijan.

I almost missed this one, but thankfully my mom recorded it. It was an amazing selection of songs, with Turkey as my personal favorite.
My top 10:
1- Turkey (Awesome rock song, and I love the power ranger girl in the back)
2- Norway (Powerful voices and great song)
3- Moldova (Epic Sax Guy......And great song overrall too)
4- Azerbaijan (Beautiful song and beautiful voices from the girls)
5- Romania (Amazing song)
6- Denmark (Amazing vocals, I loved it)
7- Germany (I like the beat. I didn't think she'd win but deserved it)
8- Belarus (I'm amazed by their voices and wonderful soothing song)
9- Greece (I love how it sounded, also a good representation of their country)
10- France (I felt like dancing in this one)
HM- Portugal (One of the songs I found beautiful from my country)
What a legend song from Turkey!

I've been watching each Eurovision working backwards. This was quite a good year, many great performances, hard to choose
I like a lot of songs from this year: Spain, Moldova (epic sax guy!), Cyprus, Serbia (yeah, I know it's kitschy, but it's really catchy!), Greece, Turkey (best performance), Albania, Iceland, Ukraine (not the song, but the girl), Romania, Russia, Armenia and Denmark!

The best is 2018
Best : 2016, 2018 and 2012. In 2010, the only cool songs were Moldova, Iceland, Turkey, Macedonia and Bulgaria

To be honest, i feel like 2010 had the best selection of songs of the last 4 years. I am not a fan of satellite but i would pick that song every time over this years winner.

Moldova is extremely underrated. Only 22th place in final? really??
A modest stage, no over the top LED screen, still entertaing and I like it. Such a strong year 2010, there's a lot of great entries.

It was love at first sight for me that night in Oslo. I hope to one day see Lena perform live when it's safe for her to do so and for me to get tickets.

Bien sûr, Irlande est ma chanson preferè en 2010. Premièrement je suis un personne irlandais et je veux pleurer tout le temps quand j’ecouté cette chanson.
I had forgotten how amazing the stage was, considering it was literally made out of glossy surfaces and lights. It wasn't tiring, not even one single minute.

Fantastic edition, lots of enjoyable and varied songs, very "eurovisiony", not like other years with many weird songs trying to be original that end up being boring. In particular, I think that Israel, Germany, Romania and Armenia all deserve 12 points
