    Worked there when the plant was preparing to start up. I setup and tested the steam turbine that powered the feed water pump for the boiler. Drove by there years later and saw that it was gone.Good to hear the reason it was abandoned

    A very cool video as always!! I think Turners fall is a very interesting location to explore. I never knew about this site, and I'm glad you were able to explore and capture it before it gets repurposed. That coal silo is amazing, I'm glad they are going to leave that standing in the future. And I know the cold you're talking about - it's been bone chilling around here the last few days. Have a happy, safe and Merry Christmas J-Mass,as well as all of your fans and supporters!! Cheers!

      Thank you so much, I truly appreciated your support throughout 2024! Turners Falls is such a cool little historic village-there is so much to see here! I’m excited to cover it more in-depth whenever I get around to my Montague town review! And same here, I’m excited to see what artwork that coal silo will display!

    Very cool video and sick graffiti in the area. I think you can go up see the tunnel/flooded part if you take the ladder from the bottom of the silo, as seen in 8:14. Happy New Year, J-MASS!

      @ ofc man. I found your Keddy mill video and actually went there. I’m from Maine. It was an amazing place to explore. I’m looking for some more cool spots to check out w my friends while there on break from college. What would you reccomend we check out?

    • @j-mass
      @j-mass  22 дня назад

      That’s awesome! What’d you think of Keddy Mill? I thought it was a cool spot, and I’d love to go back sometime!
      Unfortunately, I don’t know too many abandoned locations in Maine-I wish I did, but it’s such a vast state with not too many locations well-documented. One spot I definitely would recommend, if you ever get the chance, is Fort Gorges in Portland. You need a boat to get there, but it’s an abandoned military fort on an isolated island in the Casco Bay. Such a dope spot! I have a video there, too!

    • @Oakhurst_v1
      @Oakhurst_v1 22 дня назад

      @ not just in Maine. Massachusetts I was thinking. I saw your vid on the insane asylum. What are some cool places like that? Also keddy mill was amazing. Took some cool pics there. But places that are cool to explore like that. Not just a single house. But big buildings or military bases and stuff.

    Nice video showing off one of my favorite spots, I enjoyed learning what the purpose of the building was in relation to the mill but also the coal plant ruins used to be a DIY skatepark called Turnside with the name being inspired from Worcester's Worcide DIY skatepark. Town unfortunately tore it down and messed it up with all of those trees so it couldn't be used but I believe that is what caused the town to build Unity skatepark soon after.
    Very dope spot with sick history, my favorite memory is accidently smashing my friend's face and having him bleed on the cold concrete.

    Hey J-Mass, always been intrigued with the way you explain things, that's kinda why I find you very unique from other people, (no hate to other hardworking creators ofc, only an observation). Are you by any chance a sales person or a person who presents things a lot, only because you talk so well, and repeat main points very well during the times in the videos where you describe face-to-face. I find it very admirable. I want to know how you talk like that, professional, a bit repetitve at times, but very professional.

    • @j-mass
      @j-mass  20 дней назад +1

      Thank you so much, I truly appreciate the kind words and the observation! You are actually right on the money-I do work in sales! Specifically, in the realm of logistics. I also went to university for English, and did a lot of public speaking. I definitely have flaws-I often repeat things, and sometimes I stutter or say the wrong thing-but overall I try to be as clear and understandable in my presentation as possible!
