Quill The Life of a Guide Dog Official Trailer #1 (2012) HD Movie
Based on a true story, QUILL: THE LIFE OF A GUIDE DOG is the sweet tale of a yellow Labrador Retriever guide dog for the blind named Quill. We follow Quill from the litter to his selection as a guide dog shortly after his first birthday. After training at a school for guide dogs, Quill is paired with a blind man named Watanabe who at first is reluctant to rely on him. But Quill's great patience, gentleness and skill eventually win him over and they become inseparable friends.

I was enjoying watching and my eyes filled with tears. And it hit me that it hardly mattered at all I had no idea it was in Japanese (right?). Humans and animals are a universal language we are all born to understand.
Japanese is such a cool sounding language too.
Damn, started getting a tear in my eye at work. As a soldier with PTSD I have a very soft spot for guide dogs, they are amazing and intelligent creatures.
My greatest weakness in movies are dogs. I don't care if the mc die, just don't let any dogs die!!

my dogs have been giant chunks of my life. family members. some closer to me than humans. pure souls. I'll never understand evil people who get them and use them for lawn decor or abuse them...that's how you tell if a person is good or not...how they treat their dog. and I've had friends who don't like dogs in their houses and I've always noticed how empty and lonley their homes were.
I can't imagine life without a dog by my side. ♡♡

Such a beautiful rendition of guide dogs. I have seen them with their owners in the train stations and outside on the roads. Such tremendous sacrifice. Such amazing kindness and overwhelming love. Incapable of humans, ever.
from some1 who never raised a dog, this trailer made me imagine how much stronger a bond with a guide dog could be....they reach a unbelievable degree of trust and they both c the world from the others perspective

before watching this movie's trailer, I watched the trailer of THE DOG'S PURPOSE. literally tears are
streaming down my eyes. even though some dogs are lazy, or ugly, or useless, it has the right to live in this world. look for example my dog!! his name is Bruno a fun loving 3 year old. he just turned three on 15 March. he was just 52 days old when we bought him.. he was soooo adorable... even though my dog is a lazy little critter, i, my mom, my dad and my brother and most of my relatives know him and love him. well as for the dog's purpose, it's didn't get good reviews, I don't know why. overall, Quill THE LIFE OF A GUIDE DOG and THE DOG'S PURPOSE bought tears to my eyes, like, literally. the tears are still on the edge of my eyes. and for people who don't love dogs, they are a soothing companion that loves you and is always by your side. I love dogs and will do anything in order to help them. my dog also donated blood to the neighborhood dog, bronzy. all the best for dogs in this world, wishing them a bright and happy and beautiful life. I LOVE DOGS!!.

I saw the poster of this movie on a magazine while living in Osaka. Judging by the cuteness of the puppy I knew that it would be a movie that would make me cry, because I have a weak spot with dogs. But I needed to watch the movie because I knew that it would be heart-warming, the thing I needed those lonely days in Japan.
Of course I ended crying by a mixture of motives. Nostalgy of my former dog, my childhood days, and also the strong emotions of the movie, among many other things.
Still, when I remember this movie, the name Quill and the puppy of the poster I let some tears fall. I don't know why. This kind of things touch my heart. Dogs are so lovable... And the world has turned so cold and sad...
We need more Quills to teach us the right way in life, if you know what I mean.
Dogs are family don’t harm them. Dogs have a resin to be in our life’s. They are here to love us care for us protect us from danger to help us. Dogs need us don’t let them down.

This is a beautiful movie very much in the same tradition as Hachiko. If you like one, you will like the other. The fact that it has subtitles is not at all an issue. They are both on Amazon Prime. Happy New Year to all dogs and dog lovers!
i watched this last night, i cried the hell out of me. it reminded me of our dog who died two weeks ago.

Read the original book many many years ago, sad but both the dog and its human had lived a good life, it definately taught me alot on human-animal relationships and how we treat each other with respect. If you dont plan to watch the movie, reading the book is another option =)
