We are renovating the kitchen and the range has been moved to a spot that it is not normally in. My auto pilot zombie mode had me walk straight into the side of the range in the middle of the night, knocking off the knob and breaking the element switch. This video is perfectly explained, and all I have to do is order the new part and avoid having to pay surcharges and labor. Every penny saved counts during a reno 💸

I learned at least one useful thing here - the towel trick, where you lay the towel down on the stove and then flip the stove panel on top. I couldn't figure out how to maneuver in there, now I'll try this!
